He was born on 18th 1935 in McDowell to the late Pinkney Horace and Martha Ann Mattie Early Crawley. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Horace Woodrow Crawley of Point Reyes Station, CA and a sister, Mary Alice Crawley Austin of Hickory. . He was a US Army Veteran and worked for many years at The Arcade Sandwich Shop in Hickory. Surviving are a brother, Floyd E. Crawley and wife, Katherine of Hickory, two sisters, Evelyn Crawley of Hickory, Nora C. Mace of The Lutheran West, three nephews, Gene Crawley and wife, Patsy of Granite Falls, Ralph A. Obituary: Rayford Crawley, age 69, passed away , 16, 2015 at his residence with his loving wife Carol by his side. Born 11, 1946, he was the son of the late Melvin Crawley and Sadie Freeman Crawley and was self-employed. Ray loved his work in his auto body. Ray and Carol met on the square in Newton while cruising. Carol fell in love with his blues and that special laugh, they were married on 7, 1968 and were blessed with two beautiful daughters Amy and Holly. His family and work became his life and what a happy life they had. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Daisey Bumgarner. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 46 years, Carol Crawley; daughters, Amy Crawley of Gastonia and Holly Crawley of Newton; brothers, Jim Crawley, Flay Crawley, Robert Crawley, Alfred Crawley, Guy Crawley; sister, Marie Smith; and grandson, James Jim Alexander Ferguson. Obituary: Lynn Crawley 1952-2015 Gastonia – Carol Lynn Crawley, 63, went to be with her Lord and Savior on 24, 2015 at CaroMont Regional Medical . She was born in Charlotte, North Carolina on 14, 1952, daughter of the late Rev. John Wilson, Sr. and Virginia Carol Jones Wilson. She worked at Danaher Tool Group for 14 years and came out of the plant from working due to health issues. Lynn loved all people; she really loved her Church, South Gastonia Church of God, her pastor, Brother Bobby Gilley and Brother Sam Barnette. her son graduated in 1999, she continued to volunteer at her school, Victory Christian Academy until her health declined. She always prayed for her school and her church. She graduated from Hoke High School in Raeford, NC. She later went to classes at night and received certificates in typing, ambulance service and cake decorating. Lynn took care of her precious mother. She moved to Nashville, NC to provide care for her mother from 2007 until 2008. Obituary: Julia Crisp Crawley, 91, of Bermuda Village, passed away on 5, 2014 in Advance, North Carolina. service will be held in the chapel at Bermuda Village on , 8, 2014 at 1:00 pm. A reception will follow the service. Interment will be , 9, 2014 at Cleveland Memorial Park in Boiling Springs, NC, time pending. Julia was born in Grover, North Carolina to Lucy and Sidney Allen Crisp on 25, 1923. She graduated from Grover High School and attended Boiling Springs Junior , now Gardner Webb University. There she met and fell in love with Sam Jones Crawley, Jr. from Lattimore, N.C. When World War II began, Julia and Sam left Boiling Springs to support the war effort. Sam joined the Navy and Julia worked for the Department of the Army in Washington, D.C. marrying Sam and raising five children, Julia was employed by Wachovia Bank and Trust, retiring in 1988 after 22 years of service. Julia enjoyed supporting Winston Salem Arts Council, playing golf, and traveling with family and friends. Although Julia had a successful career, her main focus and joy in life was being a devoted and loving wife and mother. She had the rare ability to maintain a positive attitude, in all circumstances. Julia always had a kind word for those she met, and will be missed by family and friends. Julia is preceded in death by her husband, Sam Jones Crawley, Jr., her sisters, Sarah Elizabeth Crisp, Ruth Hambright, Mary Rollins, Marge Crisp, and brothers Matthew Bryson Crisp, Sidney A. Crisp and Albert Crisp. Julia is survived by her children Jan Depriest (and husband Joe) of Cramerton N.C, Linda Perry of Atlanta Ga., Sam J. Crawley III (and wife Kristy) of Yadkinville, N.C., Sidney Crawley (and wife Jennie) of Mission Hills, KS and Elizabeth Haste (and husband Gary) of Virginia Beach, Va.; sister, Lucy Batts of Greensboro, NC.; grandchildren Julie Perry (and husband Burch), Fred Mills, Jr. (and wife Rachel), Amanda Crawley, Megan Crawley, Jennifer Crawley, Matthew Haste, William Haste; and great grandchildren Bryson Perry, Warner Perry, Freddie Mills, and Cate Mills.
