Obituary: Clyde, Latane James Clore, age 73, of Doctors Drive, passed away peacefully at home on , 23, 2014. A native of Haywood , she previously resided in Lewisville, North Carolina for 20 years. She was the daughter of the late Orville Cleveland and Roxie Noland James. Latane taught elementary education in the Forsyth School System. She was a member of Longs Chapel United Methodist Church. Latane was active throughout her life in all forms of ministry within the church and her -School classes. She was a very dedicated volunteer in the ministries she worked with. Latane will especially be remembered for being a wonderful mother, devoted to her family and always serving and worshipping her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Latane is survived by her husband of 20 years, Bob Clore; a daughter, Noelle Lowry and her husband, Keith, of Suffolk, Virginia; two sons, Eric Zuleger of Kingwood, Texas and Chad Zuleger and his wife, Courtney, of Advance, North Carolina; one step-daughter, Wendy Coulter and her husband, James, of Cary; and nine grandchildren, Tommy, Libby, Molly, Joey, Sophie, Mason, Logan, Skylar, and Callie. services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on , 28, 2014 at Longs Chapel United Methodist Church with Reverend Tim McConnell officiating. Burial will follow at Fines Creek Memorial Baptist Church . The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church. Obituary: William B. (Bill) Clontz, 85, passed away on , 12, 2015 at New Hanover Regional Medical . Bill was born in Charlotte, NC, on 25, 1930 to the late Otto James Clontz, Sr. and Sarah Miranda Boger. Bill received his education at Caswell Training School in Kinston, NC. At the age of nine, he taught himself to play the guitar so he could play with his uncles. He loved Bluegrass, especially Bill Monroe, and Southern Gospel. For many years, Bill sang and played the guitar with Wendy Rackley and Angie Davis at the prayer services at The Cape Fear Hotel Apartments. Favorite songs were "I'm Using My Bible as a Road Map", "Amazing Grace" and "You Are My Sunshine." Bill was preceeded in death by sisters Kathryn Shelton, Helen McGlynn and Ruth Carolyn Clontz, brother Otto James Clontz Jr and nephew Sonny White and niece Sarah Snyder. He leaves behind to cherish his memory nieces Cynthia Hunt of the home, Sarah Nohlgren, Katherine McGlynn, Sylvia Baucom and nephews O. J. (Jim) Clontz III, Michael McGlynn and Paul McGlynn and their respective families. Billy also loved his cousins in his beloved Union and their families. The Clontz Family Reunion was the highlight of the year. The family would like to thank Bill's caregivers and friends at PACE and his very special friends on the praise team and his Church family at Glad Tidings. A visitation will be , 16 at 2:30 pm with the Celebration of Billy's life at 3:00 pm at Glad Tidings Church, 3110 Randall Parkway, Wilmington NC. Pastor Henry Carroll will officiate. Interment will follow at a later date at Lafayette Memorial Gardens, Fayetteville, NC. |
