Obituary: Memorial service for Mr. Gerald Eugene Clark will be held 12:00 PM , 9, 2016 at Northside Pentecostal Church. Mr. Clark passed away , 31, 2016 at Anderson Regional Medical in Meridian MS. He lived most of his life in Neshoba and Lowndes Counties. He worked security at the state hospital. His hobbies include fishing, football, and wrestling. He was Pentecostal. Preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Ola Pearl Clark: siblings, Maxine, Jimmie Lou Kelly, Dewey Clark, Paul David Clark, Carrolton Clark, and Zeb Clark. Survivors are wife, Louise Clark: daughters, Judy Breaux and Rose Gammel; son, William Eugene Clark (Mary); brothers, Donald Adcock, Arnette Clark, and William Prentiss Clark: sisters, Helon Stubblefield, Sherry Burchfield, and Sylvia Dooley; grandchildren, Christi Robertson, Summer Clark, David Clark, Colby Clark: great-grandchildern, Makenna Gammel, Daniel Furgeson, Cansas Alexander; host of nieces and nephews. Obituary: Mary Alice Moss Clark, age 85 of Jackson, passed away on 13, 2014. She was born Nov. 11, 1928 in Raleigh, MS to the late Joseph Hushel and Clara Mayo Moss, and sister to the late Hushel Lamar Moss. She graduated from Millsaps in 1951. A life-long educator, Mary Alice taught hundreds of kindergarten children during a 21-year career at First Presbyterian Day School, Jackson, and earlier at Jackson Academy, as well as in Hattiesburg and Atlanta, GA. The classroom was her mission field; her passions were teaching children to read, to show kindness and to introduce them to Jesus. She considered her life full with the beauty of family, friends and her church. She was a vibrant member of Christ United Methodist Church and served as lay director of the prayer ministry for many years. She was involved in the Talisman Womens Club and numerous church and community Bible studies throughout her life. She is survived by her husband of almost 60 years, Watts Clark, and her children Jim (Celia) Clark of Ridgway, CO; Joe Clark of Hendersonville, NC; Angela (John) Thompson of Brentwood, TN and Emily (Roy) Butts of Madison; grandchildren Clark and Camille Thompson and Anna Jordan, Hayden and Mary Claire Butts, and numerous nieces and nephews. She loved her family deeply and will be remembered for her warm hospitality and devotion and faithfulness to the Lord. Visitation will be Thurs., Apr. 17, from 4-7 p.m. at Christ United Methodist Church fellowship hall and again on Fri., Apr. 18 from 9:30-10:45 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Life service at 11 a.m. in the sanctuary. Interment at Pelahatchie . Memorial contributions may be made to Christ United Methodist Church, First Pres. Day School or Hospice Ministries, Inc. A special thanks to Sandra Strittman, Margaret Morgan, Sarena Lewis, LaShunda Haymon, and Gloria Washington for the loving care they provided. |
