Obituary: Frances Rivers Clark, age 93, died on 26, 2011 in Little Rock, AR. Her services will be held on , 30, 2011 at Wright and Ferguson , 1161 Highland Colony Parkway, Ridgeland, MS. Visitation will be held from 1-2:30 pm, immediately followed by a service in the chapel and graveside at the on-site cemetery. Mrs. Clark was a long time resident of Jackson and a native of Pocahontas, MS. She graduated from Central High School in Jackson in 1935. She attended Belhaven and later was employed doing secretarial work for several different governmental agencies. She married G.C. Clark, Jr. in , 1939 at Galloway Memorial United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and the mother of two children. Frances was a member of Galloway Memorial United Methodist Church, the Ben Fatheree School Class, UMW, and a former School teacher. She was active in the Colonial Country Club, Mecca Bridge Luncheon Club, Le Mercredi Bridge Luncheon Club, Pierian Federated Club, La Sertoma Civic Luncheon Club and a former volunteer at Magnolia Speech School. Frances was a devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. Her happiest moments were visiting with her children and grandchildren and traveling with her husband. She also loved spending time with her sisters, Booka Manning and Mary Elizabeth Brown, at family gatherings. Mrs. Clark spent all of her married life in Jackson, except a short time with her husband in Washington, DC, Newport, RI, and New York City, NY before he went overseas during WWII. He was aboard the aircraft carrier USS Bennington in the battles of Iwo Jima and Okinawa. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years G. C. Clark, Jr., her parents A. Howard Rivers and Mary Baker Rivers, and two sisters Mary Elizabeth Brown (Gordon) and Beulah Manning of Jackson. Her survivors include daughter Carol Dyson (David) of Little Rock, AR; son Charles C. Clark (Ginger) of Birmingham, AL; grandchildren James Colin Rogers (Karin) of Asheville, NC, Ronald Clark Dyson of Warren, AR, Lee Dicks Clark (Matt Pilcher) of Seattle, WA, Ginger Ann Clark Hughes (Robert) of Atlanta, GA and Charles C. Clark, Jr. of Birmingham, AL; sisters-in-law Dorothy Clark and Bonita Clark, both of Laurel, MS; and brother-in-law Roy Manning of Jackson, MS and a number of nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at The Orchard in Ridgeland, MS, where she lived from 2002 to 2010, for all of the love and care that was shown to Frances. would also like to thank the staff at Chenal Heights Assisted Living in Little Rock, where she lived for the past year, and the Visiting Angels of Arkansas, especially the compassionate care of Janice Lee, Liz McPeak and Lena Harris. Obituary: services for Eugene Turner "Jeep" Clark will be held at 11:00 oclock , 24, 2011, at Briarwood United Methodist Church, with visitation at 10:00 oclock prior to the service. A graveside service will follow in Monticello, Mississippi at 2:00 oclock pm. Jeep was born 7, 1925, in Tupelo, Mississippi to Turner and Dorothy Clark. He graduated from Tupelo High School in 1942 and entered Mississippi State University where he was secretary of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity and cartoonist on the Reveille Staff. He served several years in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1946, returning to Mississippi State, graduating in 1948. Throughout his career he worked for USF&G and F.W. Williams State Agency where he was a partner until he retired. A great lover of the outdoors and nature, Jeep enjoyed fishing and squirrel hunting with his close friends. Woodworking was a favorite hobby of Jeeps, where he spent many hours making beautiful boxes and furniture. Jeep is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Barbara Butler Clark; god-daughter, Kay Garraway French and husband Miller; god-grandsons, Norman Miller French and Thomas Clark French; sisters-in-law, Sadie Butler and Pat Hughley; cousin, Dottie Strain; faithful friend, CDell Hendrix; and many nieces and nephews in Monticello. |

Obituary: Mr. Earl Clark, aged 74 of Foxworth, MS died , 13, 2017 at Marion General Hospital. He was a welder with Georgia Pacific and retired in 2005 and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Mr. Clark was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Carolyn Clark; a son, Ray Pounds; his parents, Obie and Mildred McCain Clark; and brothers, Wilfred Clark, and William Harry Clark. He is survived by his son, Randy (Beth) Clark; two sisters, Voncille (Crawford) Kendrick, and Nelda (Bobby) Smith; a brother, David (Jan) Clark; and three grandchildren, Chase Clark, Lauren Pounds, and Caitlin Pounds. Visitation will be , 14, 2017 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm at Colonial . The funeral service will be , 15, 2017 at 10:30am at the funeral home. Dr. Tim Parker and Rev. Hiram Campbell will officiate at the service and interment will be at Lott .
