Obituary: Jerome Jerry Lynn Couvillion, 64, passed away , 19, 2016. He was born in San Francisco, CA and was a resident of Lake Charles. Jerry was an operator at Citgo for 42 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church for 31 years, where he served as a Deacon. Jerry was a member of Ducks Unlimited and the Lake Charles Gun Club. He was an avid duck hunter loading his own shells. Jerry trained dogs and enjoyed carving duck decoys and building pirogues. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Ella Lori McCullough Couvillion of Lake Charles; sons, Jamie Couvillion and wife, Miguele of Biloxi, MS, Cole Couvillion and wife, Alicia of Moss Bluff and Corey Couvillion and wife, Alex of Webster, TX; step-daughters, Liza Coe and husband, Mitchell and Sarah Scott all of Lake Charles; brothers, Jeff Couvillion and wife, Alicia of Carlyss and Mark Couvillion and wife, Jennifer of Lake Charles; sisters, Cheryl Couvillion Crawford of Houston, TX, Linda Bimle of Carlyss and Kathleen Wilson and husband Rev. Obituary: H. Neil Couvillion, age 78, passed away on 1, 2015 in Metairie, LA. Mr. Couvillion was born in Moreauville, LA and was a resident of Metairie, LA. Neil owned and operated Neil Couvillion Co. for 40 years, repairing welding equipment on the job site. He loved to joke with everyone and to recall his early years at St. Henry School and Church. Neil had a stroke in 2013 which left him unable to walk and forced his retirement. In 2014 he was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. He was a wonderful patient throughout this whole ordeal, still joking with everyone all the time. We want to thank Canon Hospice and “All” of their very “Special” employees for the wonderful care given to Neil, especially Dr. Donald Persich, Dr. Blaylock, Nurse Steve Beason and CNA, Demetrice Phipps. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey A., and Verdie Lemoine Couvillion. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Peggy Seiler Couvillion, Children; Neil David Couvillion and Christel (Mark) Couvillion Boyd, grandchildren; Hilary Quinn Couvillion and Kane Edward Boyd, brother, Lonnie (Jean) Couvillion and sister, Irma Couvillion Thibodeaux, also a host of nieces and nephews.
