Obituary: Gerard Slick Clement, 88, a native of Plaquemine and resident of White Castle, died on , 07, 2014 at his home. Gerard was a graduate of St. John High School. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Lions Club, and American Legion. During his time as a member of the Knights of Columbus he was a past Grand Knight and past Faithful Navigator. He also was a recipient of the Mother Seton Award for his years of service to Our Lady of Prompt Succor School. Gerard is survived by his loving wife of 64years, Theresa V. Clement; five daughters, Ann Kirkpatrick and husband Billy, Barbara Normand and husband Rex, Cassie Calvin and husband CJ, Dianne and husband Steve, and Penny Clement; one son, Randall Clement (Deacon Randy) and wife Diane; 16 grandchildren, Paula Meyers, David Newchurch, Chad Normand, Corey Normand, Clay Normand, Calvin Clement, Craig Clement, Stevenson Grant, Jr., Jermaine Grant, Sherry Grant, Ashley Clement, Olivia , Elizabeth , Thomas , Roy Fontenelle, and Gerard Fontenelle; and 23 great grandchildren. Also survived by numerous adopted grandchildren from Our Lady of Prompt Succor School. Preceded in death by his parents, John Aristede and Mary Bernard Clement; two sisters, Laura Clement and Sr. Mary Charles Clement; six brothers, John , Edward, JC, Bert, Charles, and Fr. John Alcide; and grandchildren, Jeremy Newchurch and Keneshia Fleming Keller. Visitation will be held on , 8, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. \ 9:00 p.m. at Ourso in White Castle with rosary at 7:00 p.m. and will resume on , 9, 2014 from 9:00 a.m.-11:15 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church at 11:30 a.m. celebrated by family friend, the Very Reverend Vincent J.
