Obituary: A memorial service for Ms. Lorane Charles will be held at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel in Haughton, LA. on , 16, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Billy Pierce officiating. A brief visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Ms. Charles was born on May 26, 1943 in Springhill, LA and went to be with the lord on 11, 2016 in Carrollton, TX. She would count as her greatest accomplishments her lifelong relationships with family and friends. Ms. Charles was preceded in death by her parents, Nolan and Gladys Misenheimer; sister Mary Stamper; brother, Terry Misenheimer; and grandson, Jacob Charles. Ms. Charles is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Cox and husband Rhett Cox of The Colony, TX; son, Clint Charles of Bush, LA. and fiancée, Kim Dominick of Baton Rouge, LA; daughter, Amanda Edwards and husband David Edwards of Waxahachie, TX; Two brothers, Phil Misenheimer and wife Joyce Misenheimer of Fayetteville, AR and Bob Misenheimer and wife Rae Misenheimer of Pueblo West, CO; sister-in-law, Ann Misenheimer of Temple, TX; mother of four (4) of her 11 grandchildren, Paula Charles of Covington, LA; eleven grandchildren, Carter and wife Hollye, Mary Clair and husband David, Nichol, Victoria, Zac, Connor, William, Jeb, Hunter, Abigail and Colten; one great-grandchild, Trey; along with special nieces, nephews and extended family. Ms. Charles enjoyed a 16 year career with the Bossier Parish Clerk of Courts Office where she was a Minutes Clerk. She counted many co-workers as friends and extended family. She is described by those who knew her best as a loyal friend and loving second mother. Through the years she enjoyed the opportunity to work closely with many teammates, law clerks, judges, attorneys and beyond. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Baylor, Scott & White Hospital at https://give.baylorhealth.com/ways-to-give/donate. The children would like to thank Uncle Bobby for being present with their Mom in the last days of her life. were very blessed by his presence and comfort. In addition the family would like to thank friends at the Bossier Parish Clerk of Courts Office for always being there as family for their mother; Jill Sessions and family and Mr. and Mrs. Chris Dominick for hosting the families as they gathered to celebrate their mothers life, Outdoorsman Church of God for their fervent prayers, visitation and unwavering support of the family and the staff at Baylor Scott & White - Carrollton, TX for their unending compassionate care of their mother. In particular they wish to thank nurses Johnny, Mel and Jo who spent the most time in caring for her in such special way. And Connie for bringing that extra big smile to the family each day. |
