Obituary: Eldon Franklin Coffman Sr., 82, of Fort Smith, died , 29, 2010, at St. Edward Mercy Medical . He was born 18, 1927, in Russellville, son of Eulan and Edith Coffman. He was retired, having served most recently (1996-2003) as Chairman of the Arkansas Workers Compensation Commission (AWCC). Mr. Coffman received his undergraduate degree from Arkansas Tech University, and his Juris Doctor from Arkansas Law School. Before the AWCC, he had been with the Daily, West, Core, Coffman & Canfield law firm in Fort Smith since 1966, becoming a junior partner in 1968 and a full partner in 1970. He was given the highest rating attainable by Martindale-Hubbell Law Dictionary. His reputation as a trial attorney was recognized by Congressmen John Paul Hammerschmidt and Ed Bethune when they submitted his name to President Ronald Reagan for federal judge in the Western District of Arkansas in 1981 and 1984. He was appointed Arkansas Supreme Court Special Justice by Gov. Frank White; appointed to the Arkansas Judicial Discipline and Disability Commission by then Lt. Gov. Mike Huckabee; and appointed Arkansas Supreme Court Special Chief Justice by Gov. Huckabee. Mr. Coffmans service to his community includes past chairmanships of the Sebastian Red Cross and of Dimes (Arkansas Valley Chapter), as well as past memberships of the Western Arkansas Planning Council, Financial Advisory Committee to the City of Fort Smith, and American Legion (Ellig Stoufer Post). He was a veteran of the United States Army, was a trustee at Eastside Baptist Church, and was a Partner in Education to the Fort Smith Public Schools Adult Education . Mr. Coffman was preceded in death by his parents, Eulan and Edith; two siblings, Ovaline McEntire and Gordon Coffman; and a son, David Coffman. He is survived by his wife, Sandra; a daughter, Debbie Richard and her husband David of Springdale; a son, Douglas Coffman of Fort Smith; a son, Eldon F. Coffman Jr. and his wife Sara of Knoxville, TN; a daughter, Ann Louise Cole and her husband Steven Cole of Springdale; five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. at Eastside Baptist Church, with interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will greet guests at the church following the service. Obituary: Bob Coffman, age 81, of Morrilton, passed away , 13, 2016. He was born 25, 1934 in Hector, Arkansas, son of the late Farris and Dorothy Coffman. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, past President of the Morrilton Chamber of Commerce, the Rotary Club, and the Jaycees. He was an announcer for the Morrilton High School Devil Dogs football team for KVOM for 22 years, a member of the SCCPSF, Community Service Properties and numerous other boards. Bob retired from Coca-Cola, Dr. Pepper Bottling in 1998 after 47 years of service. During his career Bob and Bonnie traveled throughout the world as one of Coca-Cola, Dr. Peppers top sales representative. He is survived by his son, Ray Coffman of Morrilton; daughters, Martha Bostic of Morrilton and Donna Coffman of Sherwood; brothers, Vance Coffman (Jeannie) of DeValls Bluff, Arkansas and Garry Coffman of Morrilton; sisters, Betty Coffman of Greneda, Mississippi, Linda Fields (Dennis) of Port Neches, Texas and Brenda Graves (Jerry Don) of Atkins, Arkansas; one granddaughter; and four great grandchildren of Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Bonnie and daughter-in-law, Emily Brooks Coffman of Morrilton. Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. , 16, at Harris with Bro. Sonny Harvison and Rev. Ben Rowell officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service. The family would like to thank and Arkansas Hospice for the care they gave Bob. Obituary: Nina Ruth (Hinkle) Coffey 76, of Searcy, passed away , 13, 2015. She was born 9, 1938 in Shirley, Arkansas a daughter of the late Tom and Alma Hinkle. Nina loved life, she was an old ock and roller and loved her music. She loved just sitting on a boat in the ocean and fishing, traveling and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her daughters, Gaya Wortham and Susie Wittebort; son, Tim Robertson; grandchildren, Corey Wortham, Kristen Wortham, Chase Wittebort, Chris Wittebort, Kamielle Robertson, Matthew Robertson, Zach Safely and Caleb Safely; great-grandchildren, Jacob Marshall, Blakelea Doss, Colton Johnson and Kendyll Wortham; sisters, Reba Brinkley (Kenny Jo), Judy Gibson (Johney), Debra Stork; brothers, Charles Hinkle (Betty), Allen Hinkle (Pam), Phillip Hinkle (Tammy) and Tommy HInkle (Cyndi).
