Obituary: Mrs. Betty Jo Crass, 83, of Murray, Kentucky died , 8, 2014 at the Murray – Calloway Hospital. Mrs. Crass was born in Caldwell Kentucky on 18, 1931 to the late Charles B. Lester and Gladys Childress Lester. Mrs. Crass retired after 20 years serving as the Murray City Clerk. Mrs. Crass was a member of the First Christian Church and the Christian Womens Fellowship Group. She also served on the Chamber of Commerce Board, Freedom Fest Board, United Way Board, the Big Brother and Big Sister Program, Murray City Council, Executive Committee Calloway Democratic Party, Murray Electric Plant Board, the Murray Womans Club Creative Arts Department and served as the secretary for the honorable Frank Albert Stubblefield. In addition to her parents Mrs. Crass was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Sonny Crass, Jr. Mrs. Crass is survived by one daughter, Gay Robison of Bowling Green, Kentucky; one son, Gary L. Crass and wife Krista of Murray, Kentucky; two sisters, Lillian Cotthoff and Mildred Weeks both of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; one brother, Richard Lester of Princeton, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Matthew Robison and wife Tonya of Louisville, Kentucky, Kellyn Jo Robison of Los Angeles, California, Gary F. Crass of Murray, Kentucky and Catherine Crass of Austin, Texas; as well as two great grandchildren, Adrianna R. Robison and Josiah Robison both of Louisville, Kentucky. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Murray, where she participated in the Gleaner Friendship School Class and the Wesleyan Circle. She retired from Lermans Department Store after over fifty years, having been manager for thirty-four years. She was born in Hardin, Kentucky on 13, 1912 to the late Hardin Morris and Sophia Pace Crass. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by four sisters, Leah Nelle Parrish, Charlyne Clopton, Mary Elizabeth Fulton and Jo Schultz; one brother, James Crass; one nephew Dr. Chris Clopton. Obituary: Rosetta Cates Crask, 74, of 3041 Curdsville Delaware Rd., Owensboro, passed away at Wellington Parc. Born 13, 1933 in Webster , she was the daughter of the late Aubrey and Mary Hillyard Cates; was a 1951 graduate of Nebo High School; and in 1954, graduated with an RN degree from Murray State in association with Owensboro Daviess Hospital School of . She practiced her nursing at Owensboro Daviess Hospital, Dr. Harold Schupbacks office, Hermitage , and the Western Kentucky Regional Blood from where she retired in 1994. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church; the J.O.Y. School Class; and the church choir. Mrs. Crask loved going to the theater and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Crask was preceded in death by two brothers, Doug and Ruby Crask. Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Bobby William Crask; daughters, Sheila (Brian) Hudson of Wichita, KS, Patricia (John) Hudson of Owensboro, and Jennifer (Jim) Cherolis of Salvisa, KY; grandchildren, Jacqueline and Robert Hudson; Kyra and Zane Hudson; Victoria and Isabella Cherolis; sisters, Naomi Knox of Madisonville, Lou (Jerry) Krietzer of Evansville and Sharon (Jimmy) Harris of Madisonville; sisters-in-law, Shirley Cates of Hartford and Delene Cates of Madisonville; and several nieces and nephews. Obituary: Bobby William Crask, 81, of Sorgho passed away peacefully in his home on , 18, 2011. Born 3, 1929 in Sorgho, he was the son of the late Claude and Ona Mae Crask. He married Rosetta Cates Crask on 26, 1954 and they were married for 52 years. Mr. Crask worked as a shipping and receiving clerk at W.R. Grace/Hampshire from 1959-1993 and served as President of the Local 726 of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers for over 20 years. He was a lifetime member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and was general secretary of the Church from 1951-1963. Bobby coached basketball for the young men of Pleasant Grove in 1959-1960 when the team won the title. Bobby loved spending time with his grandchildren, watching UK basketball, and NASCAR. In addition to his parents, Mr. Crask was preceded in death by his wife Rosetta Cates Crask on 23, 2007; a sister, Margaret Evelyn Gish and her husband, Cecil; a niece, Jane Gish Harralson; and a special uncle, Orba William Crask. Bobby is survived by his daughters, Sheila Crask Hudson (Brian) of Wichita, KS, Patricia Crask Hudson (John) of Sorgho, and Jennifer Crask Cherolis (Jim)of Salvisa, KY; grandchildren, Jackie and Robby Hudson; Kyra and Zane Hudson; and Victoria and Isabella Cherolis; his brother, Gene (Tina) Crask of Owensboro; and nephews, Claudie Gish (Pat) and Tommy Gish (Barbara).
