Obituary: Coomer, Patrick Sr. "Podge", 69, entered into his eternal home, surrounded by family, on 12, 2015. Pat's giving and likeable nature made him a friend to almost everyone he met. He served in the Marine Corp during the Vietnam War, was an active member at Grace Praise and Worship, and was inducted into the Softball Hall of Fame in the early 1990s. He was preceded in death by his mother, Pearl. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Vonda (Hap), Neal (Daniel), and Melinda (John); grandchildren, Bethany, Zachary, Paige, Cami, Brady, Sadie, and Gatton; spouse, Beverly; father, Rev. Tom Coomer; siblings, Michael (Phyllis), Cathy (Roy) and Diane (Don); and 10 nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at Grace Praise and Worship on at 5 pm. Visitation will also be on from 3:00-5:00 pm at the church located at 1521 Gagel Ave Louisville, Kentucky 40216. Please direct all floral deliveries to the church. Interment of Pat's cremated remains will be held at a later date at Evergreen . In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request memorial contributions in Pat's name be made to The Healing Place at thehealingplace.org or Grace Praise and Worship.
