Obituary: George Thomas Clark, 90, of Owensboro, passed away on , 11, 2013 at home surrounded by family. He was born 1, 1922, in Marshalltown, Iowa, to the late Gilmore Thomas and Mary Martine Merimee Clark. He is also preceded in death by his loving wife, Marie Margaret Fischer Clark; his grandson, Matthew Victor Clark; his 4 brothers, Wilfred Clark, Robert Clark, Wayne Clark, and Richard Clark; and his sister, Marilyn Clark Holder. He was a devoted husband for 63 years to the love of his life, Marie. He was a WWII Veteran, serving in the US Navy Sea Bees in the South Pacific and in China. He retired from the United States Postal Service with over 30 years of service. He then served as the Alcohol Beverage Control Director for a number of years. He was a charter member of Immaculate Catholic Church, an active member with the Democratic Party for many years, and an avid gardener. He was a man of quiet strength, always making sure everyone was taken care of, anticipating the needs of others. A loving grandfather, he was always there to chauffer, attend sporting events and to teach his grandchildren about life. For the last few years he enjoyed visiting his little buddy Ben. He is survived by his four children, Thomas G. Clark (Lynn) of Dexter, Michigan, Christine Clark Aull (Steve) and Kathleen Kass Clark ( formerly Bohannon) both of Owensboro and Mark A. Clark(Fonda) of Collierville, Tennessee; his brother, Paul E. Clark(Ruth Carr) of Owensboro; his eight grandchildren, Jennie Clark, Rachel Aull, Jessie Bohannon, Chris Bohannon, Kasey Bohannon Sharpe (Michael), Steffan Clark (Mary), Karly Clark, and Christian Clark; his four great-grandchildren, Kayla Clark, Kyle Clark, Ben Bohannon, and Ellie Sharpe, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00AM at Immaculate Catholic Church, with Father Tony Jones as celebrant. Interment will follow at Resurrection . Visitation will be held from 2 until 6:00PM on , with a prayer service at 5:30PM. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Autism Speaks or the Hospice of Western Kentucky.

Obituary: Mr. George Rogers Clark, age 79, of Almo, Kentucky, died , 16, 2014 at the Murray Calloway Hospital. He was a member of the Hardin Baptist Church; he was a former machinist for the S.K.W Alloys in Calvert City; he had also been self-employed as a mechanic. He was born in Calloway Kentucky on 28, 1935 to the late James Archie and Helen Duncan Clark. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by two brothers, Pete Clark and Roy Clark. Obituary: Gene Marnell Clark, 85, passed away , 26, 2015, in the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky An early pioneer in the mission of healthy eating and living, Gene is well known in the area for his effusively positive personality. He greeted friends or strangers with a sincere smile and touched many lives with his relentless pursuit of wellness and knowledge. Gene graduated from St. Joseph High School. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and saw combat duty during the Korean War. He loved baseball and coached many youth teams to championships. He retired from Green River Steel after 33 years before he and Nancy opened Genes Foods. He later became a certified nutritionist. Gene embraced this world. He ran marathons, rode motorcycles, experienced rain forests, played golf and traveled the world. He gave unconditional love to everyone entering his life. He made a difference and we can still hear him say, \I have had a wonderful life.\ Gene was born 17, 1930, to the late Edward and Till Clark. The second of 11 children, he was also preceded in death by Edward, Bobby, Martha (Hayden) and Jim. He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy (Brown); sons, Steve Clark (RonSonlyn) and Chris Clark (Wende); daughters, Wynter Keller, Leslie Phelps (Dennis) and Kellie Von Schipmann; 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; siblings Mary Hester (Bob), Mike Clark (Rose), Nancy Pierce (Don), David Clark (Iona), Benny Clark (Paula) and Linda Tate (Randy); and sisters-in-law Barbara Marcinkowski and Liz Brown and brother-in-law Bill Hayden. He will be dearly missed by all. Services will be 10 a.m. at Blessed Mother Catholic Church. Visitation will be form 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. on and after 8:30 a.m. on at Glenn and Crematory. Entombment will be in Resurrection . Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Western Kentucky or Dreamriders.
