Obituary: Noble Choat, age 91 of Eddyville, died at 5:35 am , 15, 2014 at his home in Eddyville. He was a member of Eddyville First Baptist Church, a 63 year member and past master of Joppa Masonic Lodge #167 in Eddyville and a U S Army veteran of WW II where he received the Purple Heart. Mr. Choat had retired as a lock operator at Kentucky Dam for the U S Corps of Engineers, the owner and operator of Choats Pool Room in Eddyville from 1971 until 1980 and had been a Councilman for the City of Eddyville. Mr. Choat was preceded in death in 2006 by his wife of 59 years Anne Choat and one brother Marlin Choat. His parents were Remus and Sally Dunning Choat. Survivors include five sons, Stanley Choat of Memphis, TN, Mike Choat of Granbury, TX, Lindell Choat of Eddyville, David Choat of Benton, John Choat of Eddyville, thirteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and one sister Margaret Dunn of Calvert City, KY. services will be held at 1:00 pm , 18, 2014 at Dunns in Eddyville with Rev. Freddie Groves officiating and burial will follow in Rolling Hills with Military Rites. Friends may call from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at Dunns where Masonic Rites will begin at 7:00 pm. | ||||||||||

Obituary: Edward J. E.J. Chmielowiec, 50, of Lebanon, TN, (formerly of Owensboro), died , 8, 2004, in Jefferson City, MO. He was born 28, 1953, to the late Edward John and Anne Ryan Chmielowiec, Sr., in Portchester, NY. He was a truck driver for Continental Machinery Movers, a member of First General Baptist Church in Owensboro, Promise Keepers, and enjoyed spending time with his family. Survivors include his loving circle of family, which includes his wife of 10 years, Debbie Chmielowiec of Lebanon, TN; three sons, Gene Offutt, Darrell Allen and Adrian Offutt; one daughter, Sarah Offutt, and one granddaughter, Madison Davis, all of Lebanon, TN; three sister-in-laws and their husbands, Dotte and Mickey Doss, Carol and Stan Stephens, Sheila and Carl King, all of Boonville, IN. Services will be 1:00 PM , 12, 2004, at Glenn , with burial in South Hampton Church . Visitation will be 2:00 until 8:00 PM , and after 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
