Obituary: Robert A. Chambers, 85, passed away , 4, 2015, at Parkview Hospital Randallia in Fort Wayne. Born in Toledo, OH, Robert was a mechanical engineer with Kunkle Vale for 35 years, retiring in 1993. He attended First Wayne Street United Methodist Church,and was a Past President of varying engineering societies and the Irvington Park Neighborhood Association. He was a graduate of South Side High School and Purdue University and he was a U.S. Army veteran. Surviving are his wife, Ruth Anne Chambers; son, Richard A. (DeAnna) Chambers; daughter, Roberta A. (William) Warriner, all of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Robert (Lisa) Warriner; Jessica (Adam) Turner; Cassandra (Brandon) Lemberg; Kyle Chambers; great-grandchildren, Claire; Will; Audrey; David; and Henry; sister, Martha Double of Fort Wayne. Robert was preceded in death by parents, Edward G. and Jeannette A. (Abbey) Chambers; brothers, David Chambers and William Chambers. Service is 4:00 pm, 9, 2015, at D. O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park , 4017 Maplecrest Road with calling one hour prior, Rev. Jim McKay officiating. Military honors performed by the U.S. Army.
