Obituary: PEORIA - Robert T. Callaway, 89, of Peoria passed away at 1:02 p.m. on , 14, 2017, at OSF St. Francis Medical in Peoria. He was born on 22, 1927, in Peoria to Walter L. and Mary Parker Callaway. He married Marilee V. Spidle in Peoria on Oct. 15, 1949. She survives, along with one son, Randy (Deb) Callaway of Peoria Heights; five grandchildren, Heather (Billy) Way, Melissa (Derrick) Ledbetter, Megan (James) Weekly, Caitlin (Lee) Cleary and Kirsten Callaway; five great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Michele Callaway. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sons, Brian, Jeffrey and Thomas Callaway; and one sister, Patsy Chamblin. Robert had been a 70-year member of Sheet Metal Worker's Local #1 in Peoria, where he was a Past-President and Business Agent. He had also been an instructor for the Apprentice Program. He had worked for Standard Sheet Metal for 35 years, retiring as shop foreman in of 1991. He loved to fish and spend time at his cabin on the river. services will be held at noon on , 18, 2017, at Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton in Peoria. The Rev. Jack Thompson will officiate. A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 12 noon on at the funeral home. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Midwest Affiliate or the Peoria Chapter of Easter Seals, 507 East Armstrong Ave., Peoria, IL 61603.
