Obituary: Thompson "Snooky" Cook, age 95 of Riverdale, GA passed away 25, 2014. He was born on 31, 1918 in Corinth, MS to the late Edison and Ollie Cook of Memphis, TN. He lived in Memphis and graduated from Christian Brothers High School in 1938. He served in the US Army during WWII and was part of the invasion in Normandy. He moved to Atlanta in 1950 and was a salesman for Harry White Ford. His greatest passion in life was playing golf. He played at a National several times and his last hole in one was at age 88. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Mary Elizabeth Brown; and his brother, Edison Cook. He is survived by 3 nieces, Betty Green (Dr. James B Green) of Memphis, TN, Patricia Cuthbert (Fred) of Sea Island, GA, and Deborah Baxter (Jerry) of Atlanta, GA. A celebration of Snooky's life will be held at the Carmichael-Hemperley in Peachtree City, GA. May 10th at 11:00 am. Obituary: Stuart Chase Cook of Valdosta, Georgia, died 30, 2016, in a hospital in Gainesville, Georgia following complications from an extended illness. A service celebrating his life will be held , 2nd at 2:00 PM at St. Pauls Episcopal Church, 753 St., Macon, Georgia with the Rev. Dwight Ogier officiating. The family will greet friends in the undercroft of the church following services. Burial will be private for family only. Stuart was born 6, 1975, in Macon, to Charles McClatchey and Emily Chase Cook. He was educated at First Presbyterian Day School where he excelled in soccer, track, baseball and football. He broke school records for field goals and PATs and was named to the All-City, All-State and All-Region football teams. He attended Valdosta State University where he was a member and officer of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity and was named Brother of the Year and Athlete of the Year. Later, he was a chapter advisor and was honored as Alumnus of the Year. He is survived by his beloved son, Jackson Chase Cook of Valdosta; his parents, Charles and Emily Cook of Macon; his brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Nicole Cook of Atlanta; two nieces, Amelia and Isabelle Cook and an expected nephew, and by his uncle and aunt, Henry and Beverly Chase of Pittsboro, NC. He was predeceased by his grandparents, the Honorable and Mrs. J. Eugene Cook of Atlanta, GA, and Mr. and Mrs. Henry H. Chase of Huntsville, AL. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Lowndes Associated Ministries to People Inc. (LAMP), P.O.
