Obituary: Mr. Willard Jasper Clark, age 85 of Griffin, passed away , 7, 2010 at the Spalding Regional Medical . Mr. Clark was born 17, 1924 in Veal, GA, son of the late John Daniel Clark and the late Buna Huffman Clark. He was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Griffin. Mr. Clark was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served in the Pacific Theater during WWII. He was a member of the Elks Club for over 50 years. His wife, Annie Elizabeth Betty Autry Clark preceded him in death. Survivors include son & daughter-in-law, Dwaine & Lynda Clark of Ormond Beach, FL; daughters & sons-in-law, Kay & Bob Burnett of Orchard Hill and Merri & Greg Crawford of Griffin; grandchildren, Dayna & Tony Hagler, Misty Palmer, Clark, Brad & Tammy Burnett, Michael & Mandy Burnett, Greg & Ashley Crawford; 8 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law & brother-in-law, Jack & Pat Lynch of Rome, GA; brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Merrell, Jr. & Joyce Autrey of Atlanta; special friend, Maybelle Harrington and nieces, nephews & cousins. Graveside funeral services for Mr. Willard Jasper Clark will be held , 10, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in Oak Hill . The procession will leave the funeral home at 1:40 p.m. Dr. Bill Hardee and Rev. Denell James will officiate. Friends may visit the family on , 9, 2010 from 6 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Obituary: Wendell Runt Clark, 82, passed away , 18, 2014 at his residence surrounded by his family. A celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m., , at Bloomfield United Methodist Church with burial and Military Honors in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Cile Mitchell will officiate. The family will meet friends on from 6 \ 8 p.m. at Snows Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Methodist for Children and Youth, P. O. Box 2525, Macon 31203-2525 or to Bloomfield United Methodist Church, 5511 Bloomfield Road, Macon 31206. Mr. Clark, son of the late William O. and Fronie Fuller Clark was born in Graceville, FL. He served with the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Clark retired from a forty-year career as a commercial construction superintendent working with various local construction companies. During his career, he supervised the construction of numerous local landmarks, schools, churches, manufacturing facilities, and museums, including the Georgia Music Hall of Fame. He retired from Williams and Associates near the completion of the new Mabel White Memorial Baptist Church. Mr. Clark was a member of Bloomfield United Methodist Church where he was a member of the Frank Harris School Class. He was a former member of Full Gospel Businessmens Fellowship International and was a devoted Christian and Bible Scholar who loved his family and his church. He is survived by the family he cherished, his wife of fifty-seven years, Christine M. Clark of Macon; his daughter, Sandy Clark Edwards of Macon; his sons, William Robert Bobby (Ethel) Clark of Fort Worth, TX and Charlie Wendell (Carla) Clark of Warner Robins; nine beloved grandchildren, Alexandria (Patrick) Leahy, Amelia Edwards, both of Macon, William, Emily, JaCole, Elijah, and Joshua Clark, all of Fort Worth, TX and Jessica and Andrew Clark of Warner Robins.
