Obituary: Daniel Joseph Catanzaro, age 56, passed away suddenly, to be with the lord, on , 9, 2016. Mr. Catanzaro was born on 19, 1959 in Clifton, NJ, son of the late Anthony Joseph Catanzaro and Helen Elizabeth Regiec Catanzaro. Mr. Catanzaro was a cherished husband, devoted father, beloved friend and mentor to many. He was a dedicated employee with Evans Construction for ten years. He was an avid piano player and just recently was able to purchase his dream baby grand piano. In his spare time, he enjoyed cooking, working on his home, and spending time with his loving wife Tammy of 32 years, whom he met through God’s grace. He was a true and faithful servant of the Lord and a proud and active member of Riverside Community Church, where he played the piano during service. He is survived by his wife, Tammy Catanzaro; son, Anthony Catanzaro; daughter, Nicole Catanzaro. He is also survived by an uncle and aunts and many cousins, nieces, and nephews; his best friend of nearly fifty years, Bob Coyle; close friend and pastor, Rev. Jody Stancil; close friend and work associate, Wayne Evans. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at twelve o’clock in the afternoon on , 16, 2016 in the chapel of Owen with Rev. Jody Stancil officiating. Visitation will be held for two hours prior to service time at Owen . Obituary: Carol Anne Catanzaro, 79, passed away peacefully on 7, 2016. Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Carol was the daughter of Dr. Douglas A. Ries and Anne Soraghan Ries. She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Dr. Marshall John Catanzaro, her childhood sweetheart and the love of her life, whom she married in of 1959. Carol graduated from St. Josephs Academy and Fontbonne , after which she taught second grade for two years. In 1970, Carol and Marshall moved their family to Atlanta when Marshall joined Northside Hospital. Carol, a gifted homemaker, devoted herself to raising their five children. Carol was quick to embrace the warmth and friendliness of the South, while still cherishing her mid-western roots. Cute, petite and sweet, Carol was always ready with a compliment or a kind word to friends and strangers alike. She loved strong coffee, chocolate, and bacon (extra crispy), and she was never happier than when surrounded by her children and thirteen beloved grandchildren. Her Catholic faith was a continuing source of meaning and comfort. Carol is survived by her five children: Cathy Catanzaro Clark (Bert) of Atlanta, Joe Catanzaro, M.D. (Tonya), of Greenville, SC, Anne Catanzaro Saunders (Pat) of Memphis, TN, Jenny Catanzaro of Atlanta, and Mary Pat Catanzaro Manfredi (Jack) of Athens, GA; and grandchildren Ben, Matthew and Julia Clark; Chandler, Mackenzie, Madeline and Sophie Catanzaro; Allie, Weldon and Lily Saunders; and Nicholas, Ryan and Caroline Manfredi; and sisters Susan Ries Meyer and Peggy Ries Herning, and brother, Douglas Ries, Jr., all of St. Louis. Visitation will be held , 10 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at H.M. Patterson & Son-Arlington Chapel. A funeral Mass celebrating Carols life will be at Holy Spirit Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. on , 11, with burial immediately following at Arlington Memorial Park. Obituary: Mrs. Geraldine Geri Catalano, 73, of Woodstock, GA passed away 20, 2015. She was born 4, 1941 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Rose and Jerry Bracciale. high school, Geri married the love of her life, Peter, and started her family. During Petes 30 year naval career, they lived in many cities, and enjoyed traveling both domestically and internationally. In 1991, after Pete retired from the Navy, they moved to Woodstock, GA. She loved being with her family. Geri was an extremely loving and doting mother and grandmother. She was generous and kind to everyone she met. Her fondest memories were the summer vacations she would take with her family to their beach house in North Carolina. She bravely fought cancer and heart disease and worked hard to overcome her stroke. Geri was preceded in death by her husband, Pete. She leaves behind her son, Peter Catalano (Allison), daughter, Gina Forbes (Tim) and grandchildren, Zachary, Jake, Samantha, Peter, Sabra and Chloe. Geri will be laid to rest at Arlington National at a later date.
