Obituary: Larry Wayne Coleman passed away , 20, 2016 at the age of 68. Larry was born in Moulton, AL to Robert and Addie Coleman. He attended Speake High School where he enjoyed playing basketball which was his passion. He moved to Neel, AL where he has been a resident for the remaining years of his life. Larry enjoyed his career at Monsanto as a lab technician and retired in 2001 after 35 years of Service. He coached little league basketball for years for the Neel Saints and one year for the Speake Bobcats. Larry loved all college/pro football and basketball games, but his main love was for the Alabama Crimson Tide. Back in the day, his home was open to all church/school kids. There was never a dull moment from pranks, rolling yards to backyard games. He truly enjoyed entertaining the kids or them entertaining him. Larry will always be remembered as a loving father and husband and leaves us rich in memories. Larry was preceded in death by his parents,; wife, Linda Thompson Coleman, Baby Coleman, Flora Hinkle, Melba Kirby, Art Coleman, Essie May Coleman and Hazel Johnson. Larry is survived by his wife, Patricia Coleman, daughter, Robin (Joe) Fuller of Statesboro, GA, step-daughter, Rita (Wayne) Hopper; His feline babies, including special friend, Tarzan; grandchildren, Mallorie (Anthony) Dowd of Swainsboro, GA, Nicole (Daniel) Rodewolt of Clyo-Kildare, GA and Andrew Yancey of Hartselle, AL and Five great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held , 22, 2016 at 11:00am at Roselawn Chapel with a time of visitation from 9:00am until 11:00am at the funeral home. Burial will be at Roselawn in Decatur, Alabama. Obituary: On 3rd at 10:15 AM John (JACK) Coleman quietly passed away at the age of 87. John (JACK) Coleman was born May 4, 1926 in Bastrop Louisiana to Maggie Mae Moore and Charles Kingsland Coleman. Jack retired from International Paper in Prichard, Al. after over 40 years. He continued to work with BE&K until Mildred said; We are retiring!. Jack was a member of The Greatest Generation having served during WWII aboard the battleship USS Iowa in the Pacific and upon discharge; he remained in the Navy Reserves and was recalled during the Korean War. Jack was also a lifelong member of the Masons, Bowen Lodge. Jack is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mildred Vermelle Carney, brother Ira Franklin (Ann) and sister Maxine Williams (David). Obituary: PELL CITY - Jessie Coleman, retired from the Navy in 1977 with the rank of Commander. He was a 1949 Graduate of Cragford High School and attended Harford before enlisting in the Navy in 1951. He served as a personnel man for nine years before requesting to become an officer through the LDO program. He was commissioned an Ensign 2, 1960. His awards and medals include Navy Commendation Medal with Combat V, Bronze Star, Joint Service Commendation Medal with Combat V, Revolutionary Development Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Navy Occupational Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Naval Surface Warfare Officers Insignia. Mr. Coleman passed away , 18, 2015. He is preceded in death by his wife, Jimmie Lou Coleman; daughter, Debra Diane Hoover; son, Verlon Keith Coleman; mother, Lois Macoy; and brothers, Billy & Johnny Macoy. Obituary: NORTHPORT - Jerrold ""Jerry"" Coleman, age 66, of Northport, Ala., died 3, 2016, at home. Service will be 2:30 p.m. , 14, 2016, at Memory Chapel with Dr. Donald Payne officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Coleman; mother, Frances Coleman; and sister, Janis Thomaston. Survivors include his nephews, Ethan Thomaston of Hueytown, Ala. and Andrew Thomaston of Hueytown, Ala.; cousins, Susan Kincaid and Debbie Hobbs of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Cheryl Smith, of Chattanooga, Tenn., Carol Smith of Amory, Miss. and Craig Snyder of Vernon, Ala.; and brother-in-law, Douglas Thomaston of Hueytown, Ala. Jerry was born in and lived his entire life in Northport, Ala. He did not have an easy life while on this earth but he was a survivor. He had a wonderful quirky sense of humor and could find something funny in any situation. He loved his family with a passion and they loved him in return. He loved football and was an avid Alabama fan. Jerry loved his little dog, Joe, his neighbors and loved hanging out with his ""good ole' boy"" friends. He loved his newly found church family at Forest Lake Baptist and was faithful in his attendance. Jerry will be missed by those who loved him and they draw much comfort in knowing that in his last few years, he turned to our Lord Jesus Christ in search of salvation. To God be the glory. Pallbearers will be Butch Kincaid, Douglas Thomaston, Craig Snyder, Kelly Kincaid, Ethan Thomaston and Kyle Powell. Honorary pallbearers are friends and neighbors of Birdway Drive subdivision and members of the Pastor's School class.
