Obituary: Dorothy E. Burghardt, 94, loving wife for over 50 years of the late Frederick Charles Burghardt, passed away peacefully on 8, 2016. She was the daughter of Charles and Mary Aldridge. She grew up in a loving family of ten brothers and sisters. Dorothy was preceded in death by her son Theodore and daughter Barbara. She is survived by her son David and daughter Patricia; many grandchildren and great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Services will be held at 12:00 Noon on 14, 2016 at Fountainhead , 7359 Babcock Street SE, Palm Bay, Florida 32909. Entombment will follow at Fountainhead Memorial Park. Donations may be made in her memory to Holy Trinity Church, Melbourne, Florida. Don grieve for me, for now Im free To follow the path God made for me. I took His hand when I heard Him call. Obituary: View Webcast Mr. Larry Kenneth Burgett, 66, resident of Tampa, Florida and former longtime resident of Nashville, died , 18, 2015 at Brookside Hospice House in Pinellas , Florida. services will be conducted at 10:00 AM at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Jeffrey L. Kane officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to the Nashville Humane Association, 213 Oceola Avenue, Nashville, TN 37209. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury native was the son of the late Corbett Jewell Burgett and Bertie Lou Runions Burgett. He graduated from Franklin High School, earned an Associate Degree from business college and was a data entry operator for many years. Mr. Burgett was an animal lover and was very active in dog adoptions. He enjoyed working in his flower garden. Survivors include his life partner of seventeen years, William Bill Caldwell of Tampa, Florida; sisters, Joellen Miller of Nashville, Wanda Lee Brown of Parker, Arizona; nephews, Jack Fennell, Lenard Paul Fennell, Dale Fennell, Shea Simmons, Nathan Simmons, Bubba Simmons and Larry Miller, Jr.; and several great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Helen Fennell and a nephew, Bobby Wayne Burgett. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. |

Obituary: Kevin Bruce Burgett ended his long, courageous battle with pancreatic cancer on May 27, 2015. Kevin was born on 14, 1961 in Torrance, CA. He was a lifelong resident of Brevard , Florida, his family having moved to Merritt Island in 1965. Kevin graduated from Merritt Island High School in 1979 and obtained an electronics degree from Brevard Community the following year. Kevin was a hardworking and loyal man who was a custodian at the Kennedy Space for 34 years. Kevin is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Patricia Roseland Burgett, his father, Frederick Charles Burgett, Jr., his sisters, Stacy L. Burgett and Leslie B. Burgett, and his brothers, Garth G. Burgett and Brooks B. Burgett. Kevin had five nephews and one niece, namely: Pierce Burgett, Sydney Burgett, Brayden Burgett, Grant Burgett, Elijah Treffinger and Logan Burgett. Kevin was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon L. Burgett. Although Kevin never had children of his own, he had a rich family life through his wife Patricias extended family. Kevin is survived by Patricias daughter, Shawna Irvin, their grandchildren, Ashley Byrne, Kristopher Thorne, Michael Irvin, Alex Karwat and Jennifer Grafing; and their great grandchildren, Tyler Grafing, Hailie Grafing, Kylie Byrne, Liam Byrne, Luke Byrne and Faith Irvin. Kevin also leaves behind many friends and co-workers. Kevin was a kind and gentle soul, who will be remembered for his love of entertaining his family and friends in the paradise he created in his own backyard. Visitation hours will be May 29, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Brevard Memorial . services will be held at 10:00 a.m. , May 30, 2015 at St. Marks Episcopal Church in Cocoa. Immediately following, burial services will be held at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Titusville, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to cancer research. |
