Obituary: Harold Alvin Bouton, Jr. Hal CHARLOTTE - Hal, 72, passed away , 2, 2016 at his home in Charlotte. He was in the company of his loving family. Born 13, 1943 in New York, he was a son of the late Harold Alvin Bouton, Sr. and Ruth Condon Bouton. Following graduation from Largo High School in St. Petersburg, FL, Hal furthered his education at the University of South Florida where he earned a degree in mass communication. His career as a television and radio professional began in 1966 on active duty with the U.S. Air Force in Germany, where he was a radio personality for Armed Forces Radio and Television. his honorable discharge in 1972, Hals radio and television career culminated in serving as the President and General Manager of WTVI in Charlotte, retiring from there in 2003. Hal was an active member of the Charlotte community during his career and in retirement. He was a ham radio enthusiast, using the call sign N4QT, and was actively involved with the Charlotte DX Association, maintaining his passion for mass communication long after his retirement. He was also active at the YMCA and an avid cyclist involved with the Charlotte Bicycle Advocacy Council. Hal was also a longtime member of the 4-mile club. Hal was a devoted husband, brother, stepfather, grandfather, uncle and dog owner. He spent his retirement enjoying a lifetimes worth of travel, dining, movies, and bluegrass music. Hals passion for photography was crystal clear to his friends and family, with his most cherished work proudly on display at his home in Charlotte and his vacation home in Hendersonville, NC. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Bouton; three stepchildren, Johnathan (Nicole) and Andrew (Whitney) Thigpen of Charlotte, and Matthew (Kimberly) of Raleigh; and three beloved grandchildren, Landon, Hunter, Cailin, and another grandchild scheduled to arrive in ; as well as his sister, Suzy (Drane), nephew, Matthew, and niece, Amanda of St. Petersburg, FL; and last but not least, his dog Chase. A service to celebrate Hals life will be held at 2:00 p.m. , 6th in Harry & Bryants Chapel in the Oaks, 500 Providence Road. The family will receive friends following the service. Obituary: Gloria Weber Boutin, 85, of Brooksville, passed away 29, 2017 under the care of Hospice. She was born in Mineral City, OH, and moved to Florida in 1968 with her first husband and two sons. She settled in Masaryktown. She was a medical assistant at Lykes Memorial Hospital and then later worked at a doctors office. the passing of her husband, Jack, she later met and married Alfred Boutin; with whom she enjoyed 30 years of marriage. traveled all over the Eastern United States on their motorcycle. Gloria was a member of GWRRA chapter FL1D2 and the SCR chapter 436. Mama Bear, as she was called is also survived by her two sons; Jack Weber and his wife, Bonnie, of Alvin, TX, Richard Weber, and his wife , of Masaryktown, FL; two step-children; Scott Boutin, of Oxford, AL, and Diane Norris, of Floral City, FL; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. (LeBleu) Boutilier., of The Villages, Lady Lake FL, where she had lived for the past 11 years, passed peacefully May 11, 2015 with her family at her side at Lowell General Hospital following a short battle with brain cancer. Formerly of Lowell, she was 74 and the beloved wife for 58 years of Richard C. Boutilier. Born in Lowell, Massachusetts 20, 1941, the daughter of the late Albert J. and Katherine Ann (Lennon) LeBleu, she attended St. Patricks School and Lowell High School. Joan loved country music, line dancing, shopping and entertaining family and friends and will be sorely missed. In addition to her husband, Joan is also survived by her children; Russell Boutilier and his wife, Linda of Lowell, Cheryl Maillioux and her husband, Bernie of Lowell, Richard Boutilier, Jr. of Lowell, and Jacquelyn Cook and her husband, Chuck of Dracut; her sister, Carol Anderson of Dracut; 8 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and nieces and nephews.
