Obituary: Helen (Selena) T. Bogiatzidis Taddeo, 88, passed away on 9th, 2016 at Florida Hospital in Orlando with her family by her side. She was born in New York City on 21st, 1928. Although raised mostly in New York City, she also spent time in Florida and Ohio. She then settled in Connecticut after her marriage. Her skills ranged widely over the years encompassing that of waitress, keypunch operator, and ultimately electronic technician. She was employed at Barnes Engineering in Stamford, CT for 30 years, where she worked as a NASA certified technician. She retired from there in 1994 and soon after moved to Florida with her husband. She enjoyed traveling with her husband both here in the United States, as well as in Greece and its surrounding areas. Favorite pass times included crossword puzzles, murder mysteries, classic horror films, as well as the likes of TV lawyers Perry Mason and Matlock. Helen (Selena) was married for over 62 years and was predeceased earlier this year by her husband, Antonios P. Bogiatzidis. She is survived by her older sister Margaret Harrison of Ohio, two daughters, Paula Brundage and her husband Darin, of Florida, Georgette Bogiatzidis of Florida, and her son Peter Bogiatzidis of Connecticut. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Jennifer Richards of Florida and Travis Brundage of British Columbia and three great grandchildren. A private funeral will be held at Baldwin-Fairchild on 19th, 2016 with inurnment to follow at Oaklawn Park . In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation in her memory be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital at https://www.stjude.org/.
