Obituary: Charlotte (Howen) Bymers Charlotte Bymers, 83, of Mesa, AZ, died at Beehive s, Apache Junction, AZ on 25, 2014 after a battle with Alzheimers Disease. The Melcher Mortuary Mission Chapel of Mesa, AZ is in charge of arrangements. Charlotte May Howen was born in Lakota, ND on 16, 1931 to Alfred and Mae (Eastop) Howen. She married Fred Bymers on 18, 1949 in Lakota. raised four daughters: Denice Stanton (John), Apache Junction, AZ; Muriel Burney (Jeff Emery), Tempe, AZ; Nancy Marquart (Dan), Lakota, ND and Vicki Keen (Mike), Crystal Lake, IL. From 1949 to 1967 they lived in Lakota, Northwood, Mandan and Leeds, ND and Leadville, CO. In 1967 the family moved to Neenah, WI. Charlotte and Fred moved to Mesa, AZ in 1975. Over the years, Charlotte spent a great deal of time in the out of doors; camping, boating, water-skiing, gardening, hunting and jeep riding. She enjoyed sewing, crafts and reading. She also spent many years volunteering at Sunshine Acres Christian Childrens , which she found very rewarding. Charlotte is survived by her four daughters, 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Fred, and her brother, Alfred. Obituary: Philip Edward Bylnowski, 68, known as Ski to his buddies in the Air Force, found the open road again on 4, 2015 at his home, leaving behind too many Harley Owners Group patches and pins to count, some questionable biker ride photos and long-lasting memories. He is survived by his daughters Jennifer and Julie, his grandkids Anthony, Iridae and Autumn, and his brother, Peter. Predeceased by his life-partner Maria Chenevert (otherwise known as Ms. Party) and his parents Edward and Ruth Bylnowski. He was raised in Woodridge Illinois, was a 20-year decorated Air Force veteran, an all things motor lover and a Harley Davidson enthusiast. Phil was known as Mr. Cool and when he was younger earned the reputation as being quite the rebel. Legend has it that he drove his motorcycle on the stairs of his Catholic high school and loved a good ol fashioned drag race (winning many trophies). He was mechanically gifted, a genius some might say. With permanent dirt under his nails, he was always tinkering with some part of his motorcycle or car or RV or trailer, or… To say he loved riding motorcycles is an understatement. He wrote about when his passion for riding started in a 1991 newsletter of the Tucson Chapter of the Harley Owners Group Soaring Eagle, saying; It was 1966, early springtime, when my cousin, who had been drafted in the Army, brought his Triumph Bonneville to me and said, Here, take care of this thing for me while Im gone. Well, I threw my leg over the bike; kick started it, and took off down the street. Ive been riding motorcycles ever since. He went on to state how he became addicted to Harleys; Through the years Ive owned a variety of different makes and models of bikes. In 1982 I bought an 82 Harley Davidson Super Glide and I was immediately hooked with the Harley Davidson mystique. Theres just nothing like riding a Harley!!! My most remembered experience riding is when I rode to my hometown in Illinois. I stayed off of the interstate highways as much as possible, and Ill never forget the great feeling I got when I went through a small town in Missouri. An old lady sitting on her porch in her rocking chair gave me a smile and a thumb up as I cruised on by. My most embarrassing moment is when we fell over in the parking lot of Churchs Fried Chicken.
