Obituary: Celesta Faith Schaben Bondurant - Cole, entered her heavenly home on Aug. 23, 2016 at the age of 87. Celesta was one of 11 children born to Herman and Florence Schaben on a farm near Bazine, Kansas on Aug. 31, 1928. Her early years were spent helping care for her younger siblings and learning the discipline of hard work on the family farm. graduating from Bazine High School, and she attended college, becoming a teacher, and taught in a one room school house. Celesta married her high school sweetheart, Howard Bondurant in 1948. Together they raised four children and were devoted to each other for 51 years until his death in 1999. moved to Scottsdale, Arizona in 1967. She contributed to the family income with multiple jobs, from sewing and alterations, babysitting, working at a bank, bookkeeping, to working at a local electronics plant. She and Howard went on to operate Taco Bell restaurants, and later the Country Peddler gift shop in Prescott. Regardless of where they lived, they served faithfully in their local Baptist church. Celesta accepted Christ as her Savior at a young age and her life was a reflection of that commitment. A somewhat shy woman, she was kind and loving to all she met. She was dependable and persevered with courage and faith regardless of the circumstances she faced. Her 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren remember her smile and encouragement, and eager to read to them. She loved playing board games, card games, and dominoes with her family. Howards death, she found companionship, love and joy with an old high school friend, William Cole, and they married in 2003. Celesta is survived by her husband William Cole, of Bazine, Kansas; children Gary (Louise) Bondurant of Kansas City, Ks; Monty (Chris) Bondurant of Clarkdale, AZ; Cindy (Mark) VanHoesen of Peoria, AZ and Tammy (Drew) Mitchell of Glendale, AZ. Siblings include Carol Allen, Donna Thomason, Marlene Wyatt, Robert Schaben, and Troy Schaben. She leaves 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Obituary: On , 10, Marshall Eugene Bonds, 87, passed away leaving a surviving family including his wife, Edith, five children, two step-children, five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Marshall was born in DeQueen, Arkansas on May 31, 1928 and worked diligently to improve his life along with that of his family. In doing so, he worked in a variety of vocations ultimately founding Bonds Burglar Alarm which he developed into a very successful and well known enterprise. He enjoyed working with his church which included playing the trumpet, singing in the choir, volunteering with Youth for Christ and flying his airplane for Wings for Christ. In retirement, he enjoyed traveling with Edith, his devoted wife of 25 years, and spending time with family both at home and on the road. Marshall was a loving father and husband, a Jesus follower, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, pilot, musician, singer, entrepreneur, philanthropist, adventurer and world traveler. Now, he has traveled to his Heavenly home. For many years, Marshall has been a member of North Phoenix Baptist Church where a memorial service will be held on , 27, 2016, at 1:00 p.m., in the chapel. His exuberant spirit and positive influence will be greatly missed. His name is carved on many hearts. His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! Obituary: Richard E. Bondon was born 7, 1935 in Bronx NYC, NY. He came to AZ in 1957 and was stationed at Williams AFB. Prior military service included the US Naval Reserve. Richard received his BS in Business in 1962 and MA in Criminal Justice in 1978 from ASU. He retired from the AZ Dept. of Correction holding positions of correctional counselor at the Arizona State Prison in Florence, parole officer and assistant parole office supervisor. He was a lifelong advocate of prison reform and authored the booklet Bible Scriptures for the Christian Correctional Administrator and Employee and a non-fiction titled So You e Going to Prison. retirement Richard worked several years for the City of Phoenix and helped manage one of their sports complexes. He was also past President of the Sun City Optimist Club and founder of the Sun City Auto Repair Savings Club (now defunct). He was a member of the Sun City Prides, a prior property inspector for the Sun City Lakeview Rec. , a past member of the Sun City Long-Range Planning Committee along with being President of the Sun City Roller Skating Club and President of the Latin American Dance Club. He also Chaired the Social Justice Prison Reform subcommittee sponsored by the Unitarian Universalist Church in Surprise, AZ. He is survived by his longtime companion Beverly Sisler, son Douglas and his wife Dana of Cave Creek, AZ, daughter Stephanie and husband Keith Rowe, grandson Miles and granddaughter Addison all from El Dorado Hills, CA.
