Obituary: under the direction of West James Richard Beyer | Visit Guest Book Beyer, James Richard 78 passed away on 9, 2011. passed peacefully from this life at Hospice of the Valley in Peoria on 9, 2011. Mr. Beyer was born in Natick, Massachusetts on 18, 1932. Upon graduation from Natick High School in 1950, Jim enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and was honorably discharged after 27 years of service, having attained the rank of Chief Master Sargeant. He was honored with the Bronze Star for his outstanding contributions. His military career included one tour of service in Korea and three tours of duty in Vietnam. He retired from active military service in 1974 and retired to Arizona, with his wife Mitsy Beyer. Jim was fortunate to have a large group of friends with whom he enjoyed many years of fun and adventure. James was the son of the late Richard and Grace( Hammond) Beyer of Natick, Massachusetts. He was predeceased by his wife Mitsuko Nakanishi Beyer in 1997. He is survived by his sister, Joan Beyer Petrovick and brother in law John G. Petrovick of Walpole, Massachusetts; his nephew John G. Petrovick Jr., of Hudson, Massachusetts; his niece Laurie Petrovick of Beverly, Massachusetts; one grand nephew and three grand nieces all of Massachusetts. He is also survived by his wifes niece and nephew, Sasuma and Naomi Sano of Hiroshima Japan; and numerous other members of his late wifes family residing in Japan. In addition to his family, he is survived by his "Arizona" family, Ruby and Marty Rojas and their children of Peoria, AZ who were a constant source of love and companionship. Jim is also survived by two particularly close friends, Kay Kesler of Peoria, AZ and Walt Orckaski of Glendale, AZ. A memorial service will be held at West Resthaven Chapel, 6450 W. Northern Ave., Glendale on 12, 2011 at 11:00 AM. All are welcome to attend. Obituary: Beyer, Edward 89 of Phoenix, passed away on May 30, 2014. He was born 15, 1924 in Mt. Carmel, IA and raised in Carroll, IA. He married Doris Crowley in 1946 and they settled in Phoenix in 1949, where they resided until her recent death. He was a member of the Arizona Sheet Metal Workers Union Local #359 for 63 years. He also was a "ham" (Amateur Radio Operator) for many years. He will be dearly missed. He is survived by his daughter, Dawn (Beyer) Russ; his four grandchildren; Keith Russ, Timothy Russ, Stephanie (Russ) Pearlman, and Rebecca (Russ) O'Connor along with four great-grandchildren; Brandon, Caitlin, Seth, and Jonathon. He also has numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris (Crowley) Beyer by just 11 days. A Viewing will take place 12 from 4-8 PM at West Resthaven , 6450 W. Northern Ave. Glendale, AZ 85301. Eddie has requested visitors to wear blue jeans and t-shirts. There is no service planned and a private Burial to follow. |
