Obituary: Esther Moeller Boswell Esther Moeller Boswell was born, the second of five children to German immigrant parents, Emil and Emma (Marek) Trelenberg on 4, 1921, in Detroit, Michigan. Esther was baptized into Christ on 4, 1921, at the Evangelical Lutheran Stephanus Church in Detroit, Michigan, where she also confirmed her faith on 5, 1936. She attended German Evangelical Lutheran elementary school in Detroit. Following high school graduation, she attended Wayne University in Detroit working toward a B.S. in . In of 1943, she received her Registered diploma from Henry Ford Hospital School of . Shortly after graduation, she and a fellow sister in white came to Colorado where she was on staff at Glockner (now Penrose) Hospital, at Denver Childrens Hospital and a volunteer at Denver Red Cross Blood Unit. It was here that Esther met her first husband, Robert Henry Moeller, a Private 1st class stationed at Buckley Air Force base in Denver. were married at the Martha Mary Chapel, Greenfield Village, Dearborn, Michigan, on 21, 1945. The young couple was stationed in Alamogordo, New Mexico, for a short time where Esther was employed as an R.N. at the Alamogordo Army Hospital Clinic. Following World War II they settled in Los Alamos, New Mexico. In 1956, they returned to Golden, Colorado where Esther worked for the Coors Brewery and Coors Porcelain earning her 10 year Coors Brewers Lion Pin and subsequently as a nurse in labor in delivery at Wheat Ridge Lutheran Hospital. Although this union dissolved, the marriage was blessed with two children, a daughter, Betty Moeller Thomas now of Larkspur, Colorado, and a son, David Moeller now of Bainbridge Island, Washington. Her last 16 years of employment were with Dow Chemical, Rockwell International and Kaiser-Hill LLC at Rocky Flats as an R.N. and Maintenance clerk retiring in 1985. While there, she met V. Duard Boswell and on 26, 1970, Reverend Biel at Concordia Lutheran Church in Lakewood, Colorado united them in marriage. Esther and Duard were married for over 34 years until his death in ,2005. She has been a member of Peace Lutheran and Wheat Ridge Lutheran Churches for over 26 years prior to becoming an independent resident at Wind Crest Retirement Community in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, in 2007. Her life was committed to her love of Christ, her Lutheran faith, and her devotion and care for her family. a short illness, Esther departed this life on 28, 2015. A memorial and celebration of her life will be held at Wheat Ridge Lutheran Church on 5, 2015. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to Wheat Ridge Lutheran Church. She is survived by her two children, Betty Thomas, David (Jeri)Moeller; grandsons Robb (Rebecca) and Scott (Amie) Thomas, Tyler, Eric and Matthew Moeller; a step-granddaughter Maggie (Dylan) DePaulo; grandchildren, Gracie Sue and Charlye Thomas, Teegan Thomas, Henry Moeller, and step grandson Louie DePaulo; a younger brother Ken Trelenberg and sister Helena Lentz; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, V. Duard Boswell; a sister, Ida Swantek, and brother, Walt Trelenberg. |
