Obituary: Paul Conrad Buff (Buggy)-Born 1934-Departed 14, 2015 at the age of 78. In Memory of my loving husband Paul Buff born in Hollywood, California. Paul and his wife Deborah resided in Nashville Tn. also had a farm house in Theodore, AL where they were visiting for a while at the time of his passing. Paul was a man of many talents. He was a wonderful, supportive, loving, caring husband whom will forever be loved and missed by all. Paul was a self taught, multi talented man. He mentored many people thru out his life and always did for others without wanting anything in return. Paul started his own music recording business call PAL in Cucamonga, CA in the 60's. He recorded many people. He learned as he went and most of that time during sessions....he wouldn't even charge them. His mentor that he worked with in Hollywood before opening his own recording studio was Art Labor. Also later during Paul's time recording others he and now deceased Frank Zappa were very good friends whom was an iconic legend in the music industry as well. Paul later on decided to sale his recording studio to Frank Zappa to move to TN. Once Paul had moved to Tn. he decided to do Photography. He read all about it...and wanted to create Professional Mono lights unlike what was out there already. So he started that up in his home and Paul later became an icon and number one in that industry up until the time he departed. The Photographic is still working and going on. There will never be another inventor or creator of products or an Engineer that could fill his shoes. There was only one Paul Buff. My husband will forever live on in my heart and soul along with many others. He was preceded in death by his Father, Ernest Buff, and Mother Olievia Buff. Obituary: Services will be at 11:00 am , 5, 2010 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Ms. Laura Winters Buff, age 31, of Gadsden who died - 2, 2010. Rev. Allen Webb will officiate with cremation services provided by Collier-Butler . Laura was a 1996 graduate of Gaston High School. She was a beauty queen, cheer leader and a member of the volleyball team. graduation she attended Gadsden State for two years. At the time of her accident she was employed at Plumbers Wholesale, Gadsden. She loved the outdoors, especially, Little River Canyon. She was a bone marrow donor in 1995 for her brother, Christopher, who had a rare form of Leukemia. The bone marrow transplant took place at Duke University. Her bone marrow was a perfect match and because of Lauras sacrifice, her brother, Christopher, now 17 is alive today. She will always be remembered by her lovely smile. She is survived by her parents, Larry and Lydia Buff Brothers, Brett Buff, Matthew Buff and Christopher Buff Grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald C. Buell of Birmingham, AL, Amy Taylor (Sergio) Lazaro, of Gardendale and Abbey Buell (Ashley) Cullifer of Dothan, AL; ten grandchildren: Dylan Chase Taylor of Kimberly; Daniel, Anna and Jacob Bass of Brewton, AL; Kayla and Kristen Hayes of Houston, TX; Grace, Olivia and Cole Faucheux, and Ashlyn Cullifer of Dothan, AL. Mr. Buell is also survived by his precious Mother-in-Law, Mavis Brown Hayes of Gardendale; sisters-in-law: Sarah Hayes (George Ellard) of Gardendale and Glynda Hayes (Reiner) Abraham of Germany, along with a host of very special nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones. Mr. Buell retired from a long and distinguished career with the United States Federal Government Department of Veterans Affairs, and had also served honorably as a police officer in Panama City, FL and Deputy Sheriff in Hillsborough , FL. He is a veteran of the United States Air Force, where he served during the Viet Nam Era. Services with military honors will be held at 2:00 p.m. , 14, 2011 at Enon Baptist Church in Morris, AL. Dr. John Hambright and Rev. Ken McWilliams will officiate. The family will receive friends and guests from 12:00 noon until service time at the church. Pallbearers will be Sergio Lazaro, Jeffrey Senft, Scott Jones, Jason Mydland, Brad Stark, George Ellard, Bill Evans, Mike Falkinberg and Johnny Love. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. David J. Kimbrell, Mr. Aulton Hughes, and Mrs. Marion McCowan and members of her School class at Enon Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Enon Baptist Church, Vision 2012 Building Project. under the direction of Ridouts Gardendale Chapel, 205.631.6252 in Gardendale, AL. |
