Obituary: Dolores (Robbins) Brink-Busby-Venable-Mann, born 11, 1929 in Toppenish, went dancing in heaven Dec. 14, 2015. Proudly with her Yakima Indian Nation enrollment number 388. Her children, grand and great grandchildren were with her the night before. Many the afternoon of her passing. She had been a dancer, basketball player and cheerleader. Sales person for Mr. & Mrs. Kraff (clothing), Knots Berry Farm, Browns Drug Store, a telephone operator, long haul trucker with husband Ernie Mann, deli waitress, volunteer, baby sitter, truck broker, Del Monte Floor Lady (Retired) and loving protective sister, mother, & wife. Dee was an intense driving force from the do your best school. People never left her home without being offered food and/or a sack for the road. She worshiped children and adults took 2nd row when children were present. She was very active and lived up to her nickname Dinky. Big band music and a dance floor lifted her spirits and recalled joyful memories. She put her childrens needs first and was heartbroken when a divorce separated the family. Her sons, (spouses) Stephen Busby (Charlene), Mitchell Venable, and Clifford Venable (Lynda) were loved deeply. Her grandchildren, Jenifer Busby-Rhea, Justin Busby, Heather Pimley-Huffine, Jacquie Venable, Anisha Mann, Ben & Liz Meyers do not include all the children she loved and treated as grandchildren. 5 great-grandchildren, Natalie Rhea, Hunter Rhea, Nia Busby, Sam & Jake Huffine. To all the extended-extended family, you know you are thought of. Too many to list. We carry you in our heart. Son Stephen says this best describes how to remember Doloress being. If we could read the secret history of our enemies, we should find in each persons life sorrow and suffering enough to disarm all hostility. Dolores exemplified the strength of a devoted woman to her family regardless of unfair challenges. Family offer these descriptors: Fun, My Gram, Kid, let me tell ya., Oh, so adorable I could just., Lets dance, eat this, take this food for later, worker, swimmer, traveler, cautious gambler, early yard sales, knitter, provider, fighter. Graveside only ceremony will place Dee next to her husband Ernie Mann in Zillah cemetery during the spring. Blossom Place (5.5 years) and Crescent (3+ months) have individual staff members who know how much they are appreciated.
