Obituary: Jesse Lee Bracy was born 30, 1938 in Colorado City, TX to Robert Bracy and Lodessa Doss; where he completed elementary school. His father later married and had 5 other children; two boys: Robert Bracy, Jr., and Stanley Bracy both deceased; three sisters Patricia Smith, Lanetta King, and Sandra Green. At the age of twelve Jess, his mother and grandmother moved to Banning, CA. there he completed his primary education. In 1958 Jess started attending San Bernardino Valley . He played many sports, but excelled in football and became Captain of the Team. He often had his picture in the San Bernardino Sun Telegram for the outstanding plays he made. Jess started working at the US Postal Service while attending college. He met Carmens father whom he lovingly called Mister Emmett before meeting Carmen; so when he became interested in dating Carmen, who was only 15 at the time, he was allowed to do so; on the condition that her older sister Sharon and her date would take them along. Jess and Carmen fell in love and were married 22, 1961. He continued working at the Post Office until being drafted into the U.S. Army in 1961. Jess and Carmen had two daughters, Teri Lynn and Jody Lauren, and one son, Troy LaMon. became foster parents to four children. completing his tour of duty, he resumed his work at the Post Office where he worked for several years. One of the ways that Jess would express his love to Carmen would be by bringing her beautiful bouquets of flowers. It was later that she found out that the flowers were from the local mortuary. He continued the tradition of showering her with flowers throughout their 49 years of marriage (these he purchased). The family moved to Rialto, CA in 1968 where he was hired as an assistant to Assemblyman John P. Quimby. During which time he became a professional umpire for the Dodger Organization. He also officiated for local high school and college baseball, football, and basketball games. He was later hired as the Affirmative Action Officer for the of San Bernardino. He worked in that position until retiring in 1992. Jess accepted the Lord during a LaVern Tripp Evangelistic meeting at New Life Fellowship where they attended. During the last 10 years of their stay in California, the family attended Life Changing Ministries where Jess organized the rebuilding project. The Bracys moved to Keyport, WA in 1992 where they became members of Abundant Life Foursquare Church. Jess was actively involved in doing whatever was needed. several years he was ordained as a Minister of the Gospel by Pastor Steven Wexler. Jess had a God given talent of being able to relate to people. Often it was to those incarcerated in jail, or families who had lost loved ones, young couples needing the Wisdom of God before marriage, or those little smiling faces that always found their way to him for their weekly quarters after church school; Jess ministered tirelessly to them all, and he loved it. But, of all the duties he had while ministering, the thing he treasured most, was to lead a loss soul to The Lord. Jess went to be with the Lord on , 24, 2010 at 11:15 AM. He leaves to morn his passing a devoted wife of 49 years; Carmen Daunette, a son, Troy LaMon (Kristina), two daughters, Teri Lynn (Ken), and Jody Lauren (Edward); seven grandchildren; Markus, Jessalyn, Troy, Troyce, Tranice, TraMon, Tatum; three sisters; Patsy, Lanetta, and Sandra; two sister-in-laws; Sharon McZeal (Clarence) and Pat Willis (Bob) and a host of loving friends and relatives. There will be a visitation at Miller-Woodlawn on , 28 from 3-8PM. There will be another visitation at Abundant Life Foursquare Church on , 29 at 11AM followed by funeral services at 12:30PM. under the direction of Miller-Woodlawn , Bremerton, WA. |
