Obituary: Linda Kay Boyd (Kay) was called home to be with the Lord, and transitioned into heaven on , May 3, 2017, at Providence Medical , Everett after her valiant fight with Pancreatic Cancer. Her strong will to live, unwavering faith in God, and the love and prayers of family, friends, and many supporters carried her through months of Chemotherapy. Yet even throughout her own struggle with Cancer, she reached out to others affected by the horrendous disease in many ways by comforting others sitting nearby receiving their Chemo treatments simultaneously. Kay was born on 8, 1954 in Gaffney, South Carolina to Lucille and Jimmie Boyd and is the third of eight children - Shirley, Eddie, Van, Kenny, Cora, Joyce Elane and Julia. Kay was known for her ease in frequent conversation with even total strangers which would later become family. Many children and families in the Everett area were affected by her commitment to sow the gospel of love. She possessed a contagious smile and an entertaining sense of humor to all that knew her. Throughout her life she maintained a sweet and simple demeanor that won the trust and hearts of many, who even now are being changed by her witness of constant nurturing love and faith. Her signature gift of joy, shown through her constant smiling, laughter, and singing, will never be forgotten. graduating from Everett High School she attended Everett Community receiving her Associates degree in Early Childhood Development. Following graduation she worked for the Everett School District, the Social Security Office and GTE/Verizon where she retired after 25 years. Possessing a true servants heart, Kay was a faithful member of Bible Way Church Of God In Christ. She also attended Bethany Christian Assembly. She cared for family, friends and those in need she met along the way. A woman of faith and the heart of the Boyd family, Kay shaped their spirituality by her tireless Christian example, and also through various church groups and activities. With a real zest for life, Kay loved to sing, shop at the thrift store, travel, support others, attend concerts, camping, playing board games and bowling. She is survived by sisters Cora Boyd, Joyce Elane Harrison (Mark) and Julia Hampton (Raymond) and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family too numerous to list but not forgotten. Kay is reunited with her father and mother and is predeceased by her four siblings Van Boyd, Eddie Boyd, Shirley Johnson and Kenny Boyd. Obituary: Lewis Amos Boyd, born 22, 1921 in Seattle, Washington passed away peacefully 11, 2012 in Everett, Washington. He served his country as a sailor in the US Navy during WWII from 1942 to 1945. He married his sweetheart Lois Jeane Erickson on 9, 1952 in Everett, Washington. He worked at GTE as an electrical technician and retired 25 years later at the age of 63. Lewis and Lois had four children together \ Lewis, Linda, Lonnie and Lori. He is survived by 3 children, 15 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren: Lewis Alan Boyd (Roni) and their children and grandchildren: Chris Boyd (Nichole), Brooklyn, Bella; Kevin Boyd (Skye), Matthew; Kellee Camphouse (Brandon Keller), Austin, Tyler, Kaleb, Brayden; Lonnie Aaron Boyd (Brenda) and their children and grandchildren; Staci Gomez (Robin), Tiara, Steven Boyd (Kelly), Craig Boyd, Westin Juarez, Christine Voivod (Nick), Corbin Juarez, Stephanie Boyd, Dakota Juarez, Clayton Juarez, Bryson Boyd; Lori Ann Fernandez and her children and grandchildren: Kelsey Fernandez, Ryan Fernandez (Sam), Natalie. He enjoyed hearing from niece Colleen Kennedy (Tim) from St. Petersburg FL and nephew Tim Kennedy. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lois; his parents, Lewis Alan Boyd and Amanda Johnson Boyd, his sister, Lorraine Kennedy, and his, daughter Linda Jeane Boyd. He lived a simple and quiet life, but loved his family dearly. We appreciate his example as a father and grandfather. He will be missed. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., , 16, 2012 at Purdy & Walters with Cassidy, in Everett, Washington. Viewing/Visitation hours: 10-5 and 10-1 at the funeral home.
