Obituary: Kathleen Kay Bollinger died peacefully in her home with her son Rick at her side on 27, 2015. Her last days were eased by the supportive services of Hospice at the Chaplaincy. She is survived by her son Dr. Rick Bollinger, Delray Beach, Fl., granddaugher Jennifer Kay Saenz and great-granddaugher Serena Saenz, Kennewick, WA, sisters Myrtle Marie DeTray Clarkston, WA., Della Rose Barger Kennewick, WA, and Clarice Chris Rogerson and brother-inlaw Terry Rogerson, Kennewick, WA. She has wonderful neices and nephews and their spouses in Wolf Point, MT, and Clarkston, Marysville, Bellvue, Bremerton, and Kennewick, WA. She was predeceased by her daugher Sandra Kay Kambly of Kennewick, son Lance Harold Bollinger also of Kennewick, husband Harold Bud Bollinger, Chinook, MT., and brothers Clayton McCrea of Kennewick and Lee McCrea of Wolf Point, MT. Kay was born in Frazer, MT on 19, 1924 at home without the benefit of a doctor. She was one of 6 children and the oldest of her three sisters, Myrtle, Della and Chris. Growing up in Montana during the Depression would be considered hard by todays standards, but the stories told by the aunts are filled with fun and love. The large loving family was headed by father Rupert Red McCrea and Eva. Both worked to ensure their children had a good home and opportunity. Older brothers Clayton and Lee helped support the family as well. Kay grew up in Montana and graduated from Nashua High School where she met and later married her husband Harold Bud Bollinger. Her daughter Sandra was born in Wolf Point, MT just before the couple moved to Tacoma, Washington during the war years where Bud worked in the shipyards. Most of Kays married life was spent in Glasgow, Havre and Chinook Montana where Bud worked as a meat cutter until enough money was saved to buy their own grocery store in Chinook, Mt. The couple eventually built and owned Buds IGA Supermarket; the first new and modern grocery store in the town. Kay was active as a Cub Scout den mother, Lutheran Church committee chair, PTA officer and was an avid bridge player and gardner. She was a wonderful mother loved by her three children and all of their friends. When her son went to college She worked at the grocery store to provide financial support and loved it. In 1967 Kay and son Lance moved to Kennewick where she was a secretary in the public prosecuters office and then held the same position at Keith Adams Diversified Properties. In 1970 she got her realtors license and successfully sold property and homes in the Tri-Cities for many years, until she retired for health reasons. She enjoyed acting with the Young At Heart Theater group that performed period melodramas and was an artist, painting landsapes and flowers in acrylics. retiring from real esate, She worked as a demonstator at the newly opened Costco where she happily talked to customers and demonstrated products for 8 years. Kay was an excellent writer and wrote numerous letters to the editor in the TriCity Herald. Her liberal views were well stated. Kay had a sparkling personality and boundless energy. She was a wonderful mother and friend, loving supportive sister and an aunt Katy who had all favorite neices and nephews. She requested no formal service at her passing. Obituary: Georgia Merle (Coen) Bollinger born 16, 1917 passed away peacefully on 8, 2013 to begin her new adventure hiking the mountains, fields and rivers above. Georgia touched many lives through her volunteer work with the senior center, meals on wheels, community dinner services and her years at Evans drug store. Georgia proudly reigned Pioneer queen of Auburn in 1999. Her greatest joys in life were her family and friends but a day would not go by that you wouldn find her with her camera in hand in the great outdoors. Georgia is survived by her two sons Michael and Patrick Bollinger, brothers Jack, Robert and Jerry Coen, 11 grand children, 14 great grand children and one great great grand child along with the many relatives that she so cherished. Georgias enthusiasm for life resulted in wonderful childhoods and fond memories that will be forever treasured, passed on and incorporated into a great legacy. Georgia will be infinitely missed.
