Obituary: Keith & Keith YAKIMA - Arlene Pell Bloedel, 92, of Yakima, passed away at Good Samaritan May 3, 2013 surrounded by her family. She was born Oct. 25, 1920 to Kenneth Earl Pell and Blanche Chapman Pell in Murdo, South Dakota. She married Lloyd Bloedel in Rapid City, South Dakota on 18, 1938. raised two children together and were happily married 45 years until his passing in 1983. She was a proud member of Printing Specialties and Paper Products Union. She worked for Weyerhauser for 31 years. retiring she enjoyed traveling. She was able to go to Europe, China, Hawaii, and Florida and trips back to South Dakota and California. Her constant companion was her beloved sister, Joyce. shared a love of cats including all the stray ones!! She instilled a love of family and spent many holidays with her brother Glen and his family. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd, son Pell Bloedel, sister Joyce Gardner and brother Glen Pell. Arlene is survived by her daughter Tana (Leonard) Livingston, Yakima, six grandchildren, Jason Livingston, Dustin (Danelle) Livingston and Jenny Everts all of Yakima, Kendra Livingston of Tumwater, WA, Ronnie Bloedel of Santa Fe, New Mexico and Collette Webber of Bothell, WA, nine great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, including special nephew Ryan Pell and niece Karen Regalado. Special thanks to Diana Kosmatka and Team 4 at Good Samaritan for all the hugs and kisses you gave her. She truly felt loved by you all. She was a hard worker all her life and a very special mom, grandma, and aunt. She will be dearly missed and never forgotten. Her motto was Live and Learn. Obituary: Yakima -Karen Ann Blodgett, forever young, of Wapato, WA joined her Dada and Baby Jakob in Heaven on 7, 2017. Karen, an enrolled member of the Yakama Nation was born in Wenatchee, WA the youngest of seven children. As a teenager and young adult, Karen worked at YMCA, providing afterschool childcare. She graduated from Selah High School then attended Washington State University Studying Psychology. She loved photography, writing, and reading but her passion was always her children Alexis, Trey, and JoJo. Karen Worked as the Native American Liaison Coordinator for Wapato School District, where she mentored, making a positive impact on many of our children. She restarted the Native American Club at the high school, brought the Triple Double Academy to the after-school program in honor of her father, along with many other support programs for the Native American families of Wapato High School. She considered her office her students sanctuary and many relied on her constant presence, advocacy, support, and encouragement. Karen also served on the School Advisory Council for St. Paul Cathedral School in Yakima. She was the coordinator for the schools annual talent show as well. Karen was preceded in death by her Dad (Dada) David P. Blodgett, Sr, son Jakob Alan, brother Richard Alan, grandparents, Henry and Theresa Fiander and Alfred and Sophie Blodgett. Shes survived by children Alexis, Trey, and Jordan (JoJo); mother Jojean Blodgett; siblings Tess (Rory) Flint Knife, Debbie (Dan) Goins, David Blodgett, Jr., Joe (Cindi) Blodgett, and Shari (Tim) Morehouse; Nieces and Nephews: Jacquie (George) Weaver, David (Kristen) Blodgett, III, Andi Blodgett, Simon (Annexy) Blodgett, Dani (Shae Schimmel) Blodgett, Ricky (Kindra) Blodgett, Willie Blodgett, Sammi Jo Blodgett, TJ Morehouse, Jordan Blodgett, Angela Blodgett, Virginia Blodgett, Justin Morehouse, Amanda Blodgett, Henry Blodgett, Aaron Morehouse, Celine Blodgett, and Olivia Blodgett; nine great nieces and nephews: Braden, Sophie, Elayna, Tucker, Jalen, Mari, Laiken, Leah, and Laila; many cousins, aunts, and uncles; and the students and families of Wapato High School and St. Paul Cathedral School. The family would like to extend gratitude to the many families that extended prayers and support. We had no idea of the impact Karen had on so many people, but we do know that there was a huge celebration in Heaven when she arrived. We viewed that when confetti overflowed in the form of huge, fluffy snowflakes as she left this earth. Recitation of the Rosary and Vigil services will be held , 10, 2017 at Langevin El Paraiso at 6:30 p.m. Mass will be held , 11, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Paul Cathedral.
