Obituary: On , 1st, 2017, Barbara Ann (Worley) Beitel crossed over into the light and into the arms of Jesus. She was born in Yakima on 14th, 1943, to James D. and Dorothy L. (Blair) Worley of Tieton, WA. She grew up in Tieton and graduated from Highland High School in 1961, then received an Associates Degree from Yakima Business . She married Barry Norman Beitel, Sr. soon after and travelled the world with him as a Navy, then Air Force wife. he retired in 1985, the family returned to the Yakima Valley, where she resided ever since. She worked for several years at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital, for 17-1/2 years at Central Washington Comprehensive Mental , and at Wilson Irrigation, before retiring in 2012. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, James and Dorothy; her husband, Barry; and her brothers Ronnie and Douglas Worley. She is survived by her sons Barry Norman Beitel, Jr. and John Christopher Beitel, both of Yakima; two grandchildren: Derrick and Dominick Beitel and one step-grandchild, Patrick Weston, all of Yakima. There will be a public viewing on , Sept. 7th from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Langevin • El Paraiso , and a private graveside service on , 8th at 1:00 pm at West Hills Memorial Park. Obituary: Rev. Brian Kelso Beistel Sept 2, 1943 \ Dec 17, 2014 Brian was born to Henry and Mildred Beistel and grew up in Eugene, Oregon, sharing a happy childhood with his sister Suzanne. He received a degree in education from the University of Oregon and a Master in Theology from Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary in Berkeley, CA. He was a Lutheran Pastor for 35 years at a number of churches in the Pacific Northwest, serving the last 20 years of his career at Luther Memorial Church in Seattle. He was truly a man of God, lived a life of faith, and was a follower of Christ. Even as his health declined, and his mind became more and more clouded and confused, he continued his ministry, often preaching out loud to an invisible congregation, planning weddings, leading Bible studies, or choosing hymns. It was just who he was. Brian was a kind and gentle man who impacted countless lives over the years. He was a wonderful son, brother, uncle and faithful friend. He loved history, travelling, and collectibles (including lighthouses and holiday mementos). He especially enjoyed time on the Oregon coast with friends and family. We will miss him terribly, but rejoice that he is no longer struggling and is now experiencing a pure joy that we can only imagine. We thank God for his presence in our lives. At his request, there will be a memorial service to celebrate his life at 2:00 pm on , 3rd at Luther Memorial Church, 13047 Greenwood Ave N, Seattle, WA 98133.
