Obituary: Reflections of the Life of Quentin Brown, Sr. Quentin, affectionately known as Bay was born on 2, 1947, in Washington, DC to the late Raymond and Amy Brown. He grew up in DC and attended DC public schools. graduating from high school, he employed by General Service Administration (GSA) as a Uniform Protection Officer, shortly thereafter he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he earned a Purple Heart for his service in the Vietnam War. Bay was truly proud to be a Marine. He traveled the world and made an impact on everyone he came in contact with. He was truly a leader. He retired after serving twenty-four years and moved to Hampton, Virginia to spend his future relaxing near the beach and water that he loved so much. On 23, 1973, Quentin married Dianna Lynn Warner Brown who proceeded him in death and of this union they raised four children. Bays family meant the world to him and his every day was spent making sure everyones needs were met, no matter what the request or dream he made it come true. Bay had a heart of Gold and his warmth could always be felt. There wasn a time when anyone asked him to do something that he didn make every effort to ensure it happened. Bay was ever so humble, the gentle giant of the family, and everyone loved him. He was a wonderful and faithful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, son, uncle and role model. While Bay and his family traveled the world all the nieces and nephews counted the days for the school year to end, so they could go and spend the summer months with Uncle Bay and Aunt Dianna. He was so wise and all the children were thrilled to spend time with him learning to swim, fish and cook. He was a great cook and you could always count on him for a delicious fried turkey or some scrumptious fried fish at every family gathering. Just call and say you would be coming to visit and his response would be what would you like to eat? and you knew upon your arrival that a home cooked meal would be waiting. On 6, 2010, Quentin married Brenda Robinson Brown and united three step children into his family. Quention smiled with so much joy whenever he spoke about or spoke to his new bride and he affectionately called her his "sweetheart". Quentin was her constant companion, and, as he always did for all of his loved ones, he devoted his love and the remainder of his life to their new union. As proud as all of his children were to call him "Dad", Quentin was even more proud to be a father. During the recent months as his health began to fail, you would never hear him complain and you could still count on him to crack a joke about someone or something. His smile was contagious, his wisdom was profound, and his love was without measure. Quentin leaves to cherish his loving memory his wife, Brenda, his children Donna (Michael) Drungo; David Brown; Deanna (Rahson) Logan and Quentin, Jr.; step-children, Sybil Brothers; Minister Helen (Kenneth) Trowler; and Paul Townsend; grandchildren, Amy Brown, Isaiah (Laura), Anthony, Dion, Nichole and Mya Drungo; Rahson Jr., Tavion, Rasheem, & Shawn Logan, Kyrie Moore; Devon Thompson; Andre Brown, DeJa Brown; great-grandson, Elijah Brown; brother James (Melissa) Brown, three sisters-in-law; Nell (Tillman) Rose, Beverly DeShields and Valerie Warner; brother-in-law, Reginald Warner; mother- in- law, Annabelle Wheeler; uncle, Jon Wheeler; special future daughter-in-law Michelle Berkley and grandson Christian Craig; Godson, Wendell Carter, Goddaughter, TiKeisha Warner; and a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends. Family Memories or May we never forget. Family Tributes: Gods Garden God looked around His Garden and found an empty space. He then looked down upon the earth and saw your lovely face. He put His arms around you, and lifted you to rest. Gods Garden must be beautiful for He only takes the best. He knew that you were suffering, He knew that you were in pain. He knew that you would never get well on this earth again. He saw the roads were getting rough and the hills were hard to climb; So He closed your weary eyes and whispered, "Peace Be Thine."
