Obituary: Donald Eugene Birch, 75, of Madison Heights, died, , May 31, 2011, at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of Brenda Goodman Birch. Born 31, 1936, in Rockbridge , he was the son of the late Roy Willie Birch and the late Nellie Duff Birch. Donald was a retired manager in the tire department at Glenn A. Trent Gulf Service. In addition to his parents, Donald is preceded in death by one brother, Roy W. Birch, Jr. In addition to his wife, Donald is survived by four children, Donald E. Birch, Jr. and his wife Diane of Madison Heights, Johnnie R. Birch and his wife Stephanie of Madison Heights, Peggy B. Lawhorne and her husband Randy of Madison Heights and Michael B. Birch and his wife Lila of Amherst; one sister, Joyce B. Ormston of Madison Heights ; fourteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted, 11:00 a.m., , 4, 2011, at Briarwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with the Rev. Dwayne Martin officiating. In addition to his mother, Anne, he is survived by his sons, Nathan and Justin Bippus of Richmond; stepfather, James A. Huston; his sister, Elizabeth Exum; step brother, James W.
