Obituary: Lewis Elton Booth 6, 1928 ~ 30, 2009 Lewis Elton Booth, a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend departed from us peacefully on the morning of 30, 2009. He was surrounded by family at the time. Lewis was born 6, 1928 in Long Lake Wisconsin. He was raised on a dairy farm with his 8 brothers by parents, Corris and Ethel Booth. He attended Rice Lake High and maintained the farm while 5 of his brothers fought during World War II. In 1954 Lewis moved to Iowa where he met the love of his life, Patricia Vickers. were married civilly on 11, 1955 and sealed in Logan Temple on 17, 1955. celebrated 54 happy years together this past . have six children, Ronald, Lawrence, Rodger, Dianne Morgan, Daniel, and Tina Okolowitz; and seventeen lovely grandchildren. Lewis moved his family from the Mid-West to Utah in 1963 where he went into business with his brothers, Everett and Bill. The service station was known as “Booth’s Sinclair,†on 800 North in Orem where they worked tirelessly offering fuel and full automotive services to their customers. The station was sold in 1974 and Lewis began delivering freight for PBI trucking where he worked until an on the job injury rendered him permanently disabled in 1981. Lewis served in the National Guard for 15 years. He was an Order of the Arrow scout. Lewis served in many callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served as the first Branch President of the Clinton Iowa Branch. In Utah he served as High Priest Group Leader and Elders Quorum President. He is preceded in death by his parents Corris and Ethel May; his sister, Leona; and his brothers Cleo, Leon, Clyde, Gerald, and Corris Booth. services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on 5, 2009 in the Windsor 7th Ward Chapel, located at 1405 North Main Street in Orem. A viewing will be held , 4, 2009 at Walker Sanderson , 646 East 800 North, in Orem from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., and from 9:45 -10:45 a.m. on prior to the services. Interment will be held at the Orem City . |

Obituary: Everett R Booth, 85 passed away peacefully on , 4, 2012 surrounded by his family at his home in Orem, Utah. He died from complications of pulmonary fibrosis. He was born 4, 1926 in Sarona, Wisconsin to Corris Booth and Ethel May Josephine Langfitt. Dad grew up on a farm where he and his brothers built all sorts of tractors and contraptions. He later worked as a mechanic for a local car dealership. He was drafted into the army while still in high school and served in the Pacific theatre of World War II. His conversion to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints occurred at the same time Doris Walker was serving a mission to the Northern States Mission. The rest, as they say, is history. were married on 9, 1953 in the Salt Lake temple. Dad and Mom moved to Utah where he fell in love with the mountains. He started Booths Sinclair and later partnered in this business with his brothers Louis and Bill. provided great service at a fair price to a large and loyal base of customers in north Orem. The oil crisis in the early seventies changed the face of this industry and dad finished his work career as a shop foreman in the auto repair shop at BYU. Dad loved the Lord and served faithfully in several church callings including service as a Bishop. He and mom served a mission to the Sacramento, California mission. Dad played the guitar with his brothers during his teen years but as father to nine plus children, his opportunities to play were relegated to camp fire sing alongs. On retirement, his passion for playing was renewed and he worked hard to develop his skills. He brought tremendous joy to himself and many others playing with the Old Time Fiddlers and many other friends and fellow musicians wintering in Yuma, Arizona. Dads passion and love of music has been passed on to many of his grandchildren. Dad and mom are parents to nine children and for many years also welcomed other foster children into their home. Dad is survived by his wife Doris, brother Bill, eight children, sons Kevin (Joyce), Craig (Janet), Scott (Kimberly), David , Todd (Daneen),and daughters Cathy (Dan) Harker , Kimberly (Craig) Moe, Angela (Heber) Hoil, forty one grandchildren, and twenty one great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Barry, his parents, seven brothers, and a sister. services will be held at 11:00 a.m. , 14, 2012 at the Timpanogas Park 1st Ward, 1000 North Main in Orem. Friends may call evening 13 from 6:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m. at Walker Sanderson , 646 East 800 North, Orem and at the church morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the services. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.walkersanderson. The family suggests a donation to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Perpetual Education fund in lieu of flowers. The beauty of flowers is certainly appreciated but the donation will bring a long term remembrance, blessing the lives of many. Interment will be at the Orem City . |
