Obituary: On the evening of 18, 2015, Paul passed away at Intermountain Medical in Salt Lake City, Utah after a short battle with lung cancer. Paul was 79 years old. Paul was born in Tunis, Tunisia on 29, 1936 to Anna Barraco (nee Zichichi) and Giuseppe Barraco. Prior to leaving Tunis, Paul received a formal education at a seminary in Carthage, Tunisia. Paul, his parents and three brothers then immigrated to America in 1953. Paul and his family resided in Brooklyn, New York where he met and married his high school sweetheart, Joan Braun. He then moved to Salt Lake City, Utah where they raised three sons; Joe, Tom and Andy. Paul met and married Janet Kenney in 2000. He had a happy life with Jan and created special memories with her two children, Glenn and Kelli. spent many happy years together traveling to visit family across the country. Paul was a whimsical man not only with a complex mind but he was someone who could find joy in the simplest of things; a game of golf, a fishing trip with his sons and wife, a good spy novel and time watching his grandchildren swim and play water polo. To Paul, nothing was more important than spending time with his large family and good friends. Paul is survived by: his wife Janet, sons Joe (Janice), Tom and Andy (Johanna); brothers, Peter (Rosann), Nicholas (Debbie) and sister in-law, Luci; step-children, Glenn (Magda) and Kelley, 8 grandchildren and 4 great-granchildren. Paul is preceded in death by parents, Giuseppe and Anna, Joan Barraco and brother, Loriato. We love you grandpa for all the brilliant times you have shared with us. Your witty words of wisdom will forever be embedded in our hearts and make us laugh every time we recall them. A viewing will be held 22, 2015 at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary (3401 S Highland Drive) from 6-8p.m. Mass will be held at 11a.m. at St. Ambrose Church (2315 Redondo Ave, Salt Lake City) with an interment following services at Wasatch Lawn. Obituary: Mary Eveline Richeson Barraclough passed away 18, 2011, from natural causes. Mary was born 11, 1915, in Logan, UT. to Ernest Lee and Rosamond Kent Richeson. Mary was the oldest of 9 children. She married Donald A. Barraclough on May 12, 1938, in the Logan Temple. lived in the old Mt Tabor area of Portland, OR. until of 1948, when they moved to the Westchester area of Los Angeles where they raised their family. leaving Westchester, they lived in Camarillo and Santa Rosa, CA. Don and Mary celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary a few days before Don died in May 1998. In 1999, Mary moved to Orem, UT. where she died. Mary was raised near Moore, Idaho and Imbler, Oregon. She graduated from high school during the depression. She graduated from Eastern Oregon Normal School where she earned her teaching degree and taught in a one room school house for 2 years. Mary taught early morning seminary for 24 years in Westchester Ward and served alongside her husband as he was Bishop for 18 years. had a huge influence for good on the lives of many young people. She served for 13 years in the Los Angeles Temple. Her testimony of Jesus Christ was strong and unwavering. Mary loved to sew. She made her children’s clothing for many years. She loved making crafts that required sewing. Then the Humanitarian bug bit her. For the past 12 years she has made 1000’s of receiving blankets, hundreds of quilts, shorts, pajama pants, dolls, school bags, dresses and donated them to the Humanitarian , United Way and Primary Children’s Hospital. Mary is survived by her 4 children and their spouses: Nancy (Rod) Houston, Orem, UT; Dale (Bertha), North Hills, CA; Maureen (Roger) Ricks, Sandy, UT; Mary Lynne (Craig) Wilson, Santa Rosa, CA., 16 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 sisters and one brother. P receded in death by her husband, parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. The family requests that no flowers be sent as burial will be in Santa Rosa, CA. next to her husband. Any donations can be given to your favorite charity or the Church Perpetual Education Fund. services will be at 12 noon , 26th, Sharon Park First Ward, 310 North 100 East, Orem, UT. with a viewing from 10:30-11:30 am. There will also be a viewing from 6-8 pm , 25th, at the Walker Sanderson , 646 E. 800 North, Orem. |
