Obituary: Milton Clifton Butler, Jr. Milton Clifton Butler, Jr., 82, passed away peacefully on 9, 2011. He was born in Lubbock, Texas on 13, 1928 to Milton Clifton Sr. and Tempia Elizabeth Butler. He graduated with a B.A. degree in Chemistry from Texas Tech University prior to attending The University of Texas Medical School in Galveston, Texas. He served in the U.S. Navy for four years and completed his medical internship at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Butler then completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Texas in Galveston. For over forty years, he made his home and practiced orthopedic surgery in San Antonio, Texas. He loved bird hunting and fishing- he especially loved fishing in Rockport, Texas. His favorite pastimes included music, traveling and reading, especially history. He will be greatly missed and remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Panze Kimmel. He is survived by wife, Trudy, son Milton Butler III, daughter Anne and husband Ed Hansalik, daughter Mary and husband Jeff Smith, stepdaughters Patty Phillips and Danny Jo Champagne, grandchildren Joseph, Vincent, Madeline and Marianne Hansalik and Alyse and Vance Smith. Obituary: 13, 2015 at The Hospice of East Texas Place, Mrs. Butler reunited with her beloved husband, Willis Dale Butler; her daughter, Karen Sue Lindley; her son-in-law, James C. Hagan; her parents, Amzie P. and Della East; and her eight siblings. She was born 16, 1926 in Rosston, Arkansas. She graduated from Laneburg High School where she loved to play basketball. On 1, 1946, she married Willis Dale Butler. She was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church. She had always been an active supporter, teacher and mentor to the Baptist Missionary Association, its missionaries, its new ministers and their families and the Jacksonville Seminary. Two guiding points in her life were her unwavering faith in God and her love and devotion to her family. Not only was she active in her church life, she found time to fill her life with sewing, cooking, canning, playing games with friends, reading and traveling. Quilting was also a passion. In fact each child, grandchild and great-grandchild has at least one, if not many, quilts created for graduation, marriage, births or birthdays. Dorothy is survived by her children: Brenda Hagan, of Edmond, Oklahoma; Tommy Butler and wife Brenda,of Bullard; Dwight Butler and wife Barbara, of Station; Sandy Lockey and husband Darrell, of Tyler; son-in-law Mark Lindley of Tyler; eleven grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Adele East of Hope, Arkansas; Louise Buford of Edmond, Oklahoma; and Pat Smittle and husband Burrell, of Gainesville, Florida; brother-in-law: Hermon Holiday of Hope, Arkansas; and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Chase Hagan, Brian Butler, Andy Kittrell, Bobby Butler, Dallas Butler, and Kelly Lockey. Family will be receiving friends , 17, 2015, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Lloyd James . Services are scheduled at Lloyd James on , 18, 2015, at 1:30 PM with Rev. Robbie Caldwell officiating. The family would like to gratefully thank Jeanette Deason for the wonderful care and companionship that she gave our Mom. We would also like to thank The Hospice of East Texas Place for the care and compassion that they gave Mom and to us.
