Obituary: Carolyn J. Buske, 61, of Victoria passed away , 24, 2016. She was born 20, 1955 in Yorktown to the late Raymond and Vernell Hilbrich Alex. moving to the Arneckeville area she attended Meyersville ISD and Cuero High School. graduation she moved to Victoria and started working at STEC where she met Mike and they were married in 1977. She worked at VEC before beginning her career at South Texas Savings Bank in the mortgage and real estate department. She was appointed Vice-President and Supervisor of the Real Estate Booking Department. The bank had several name changes and is now known as Prosperity Bank. She worked there almost 30 years. retiring Carolyn enjoyed yard work, gardening, sewing, playing with her fur baby, Dixie. She took special joy in spoiling the grandkids by cooking their favorite meals and making special treats for them. Family was very important to Carolyn. She delighted in getting together for birthdays, anniversaries, graduations and other special days. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Survivors include her husband, Michael Buske; daughter, Rachael Buske Palmos (Nick), two grandchildren, Dillon and Ally; sisters, Doris Heimann (Ed) and Barbara Gibson (George); brothers, David Alex (Elaine) and Donald Alex; cousin Lorene Migura who was like a sister; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be from 6 - 8 pm , 29, 2016 at Rosewood Chapels. services will be at 2:30 pm , 30, 2016 at Zion Lutheran Church in Mission Valley, Rev. Leslie Judge officiating. Burial will follow in Mission Valley . The family would like to offer special thanks to members of Christ the King and Zion Lutheran churches for providing meals. Thank you to David and Elaine for their care and support. Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, Christ the King Lutheran Church or Hospice of South Texas.
