Obituary: William Glenn Burton, age 86, of San Antonio, beloved father, grandfather and friend, passed away and went to be with the Lord on 2, 2009. Glenn was born in San Antonio on 15, 1922. He was a graduate of Harlandale High School and Trinity University. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Marine Corps in the Pacific. He worked most of his adult life as an accountant for various oil and gas companies and retired from Sage Energy as Secretary - Treasurer. Glenn loved fishing, working in the flower garden, and traveling around the world. He was a member of Castle Hills First Baptist Church. Glenn is survived by his best friend and companion, Jane Dreyfus; sons, Randy Burton and wife, Ginger, of Fort Worth, Rick Burton and wife, Melinda, of Fort Worth, daughter, Holly Koehler and husband, Eric, of Austin; brothers, Gene Burton of Houston, and C.C. Burton of Freeport; grandchildren, Kathryn Burton of Tulsa, OK, Emily Burton of Fort Worth, Charlie Koehler of Austin, and Zoe Koehler of Austin. |

Mr. Burton is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Viola Burton, and a brother, Lester Burton. Obituary: Vernie was born on 17, 1930 in Coushatta, Louisiana to parents Vernie C. and Clossie (Murphy) Burton, Jr. and entered into eternal rest on 1, 2015 at the age of 84. Vernie was known as “Junior“ while growing up in Louisiana. Vernie loved being outdoors; going hunting, fishing and camping. He served in the United States Marine Corp. He was a truck driver and enjoyed traveling long haul trips around the United States. He drove for Red Ball Motor Freight for 17 years, and then Forever Living Products for 10 years. In 1973, Vernie and his wife Sarah built their house on Cedar Creek Lake ‘from the ground up’, coming on the weekends from Mesquite, TX, until it was finished. nicknamed the house “Blood, sweat and tears.” He was Baptist by faith and attended Calvary Baptist Church in Kemp. Vernie will be remembered as a good man He was a hard-working man, who loved and provided for his family. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Vernie was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Viola Everage. He is survived by his wife Sarah L. Obituary: Thomas Tommy Wayne Burton, life-long resident of Marble Falls, TX, died unexpectedly on 26, 2015 at the age of 33. He was a devoted husband, father, brother and friend to many. Tommy is survived by his wife, Angela Burton; his children, Shawn Thomas and Gina Marie; his sister, Amanda Wier and family; and his brothers Drew and Jon Owens and their families, and Brian Burton and his family. Tommy is being guided into heaven by his father H.L. Burt Burton. Tommy was born in Midland, TX on 15, 1981. He began his education in the Marble Falls Head Start program and finished it at the Marble Falls High School. On 10, 1999, he married Angela, his middle school sweetheart. On May 18, 1999 and 9, 2002 respectively, he welcomed his beautiful children, who were the most important part of his life. Tommy was a wonderful father; his world revolved around his children, Shawn and Gina. He enjoyed barbecue cook-offs with his friends and always had a helping hand to offer when need-ed. Tommy enjoyed influencing kids as a proud coach in many youth sports for the Marble Falls Youth Mustangs and surround-ing communities. He was a hardworking man who loved many people and was loved by many. Although the time we wanted to have with him was cut short, his personality, integrity, and perse-verance will live on through every life he touched. |
