Obituary: Phillipe James Bueno Services for Phillipe James Bueno, 79, of Copperas Cove will be at 11:30 a.m. at Crawford-Bowers Chapel in Killeen with burial at 1 p.m. at Central Texas State Veterans . Mr. Bueno served in the United States Army for 23 years and was a veteran of Vietnam and Korea. He received the Vietnam Service Medal, Korean Service Medal and a Sharp Shooters medal. He retired at Fort Hood in 1973. He was a Civil Service employee until he retired in 1995. He was a member of the Southwind Runners Club and finished in first, second and third place in a number of races spanning 30 years of running events. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Margaret Bueno; a grandchild, Steven Sharp; a brother, Patrick Bueno, and a sister, Faye Bailey. Survivors include his wife, Kiyoko Bueno; two sons, Dennis Bueno and Thomas Bueno and his wife, Neida; a daughter, Cindy Hawkins, and three grandchildren, Cari Sharp, Phillip J. Bueno and Adrian J. Bueno TRIBUTE to Phillipe from his family: A Wonderful Good Man Phillipe James Bueno How can you tell others everything about such a wonderfully good man in such a short time.. .In my parents room there is one framed quote.. Its a Wonderful Life A good father and loving husband is how you can describe a Wonderful and Good man. Our Dad is the definition of that quote. he is both Wonderful & Good and he made it so by his Character. A man is defined by his Character. When people who know my Dad hear my Dads name they think.here is a man of character and when they hear our family name Bueno they think.thats a Good Man and a Good Family. Thank you Dad. Our Dads given name is Phillipe James Bueno, his family in Colorado knows him lovingly as James. We know him by Dad or as my Mother, as any wife does, have a loving endearment for her husband, would say Hey Honey, Oiy, Ol-man or Ombligo. My Dad made our family name wonderful & good. He is GOOD and generous beyond words..Ill try to put it into words. GIVING & DOING GOOD: He gave and gave and never took anything. He also never talked about what he was going to do.he used to say to us Get something done then let your actions speak. He would get something done and then only talk about what was done.IF and ONLY if it needed to be said. He did a lot of good things at the right time for people when it was needed. And even with his Running........his first Running race, he just did it, then told us about it. He didn say that he was training for a race.he had a plan, trained hard, did it, then told us what he accomplished. Dad was that way with doing good for people. He would do the right thing for anybody without question when needed. You know, all he wanted to do was to be able to run.Ill get to that later. He doesn have a fancy house, car, boat, trailer, or any possessions that you could say were special. ..I now, know why.you will too. Dad did GOOD for people.. Early FAMILY SUPPORT: He worked hard to support his family back in Colorado as a young military man. Even before he joined the military, he quit High School to help with the family farm as there was a need. As he got older he took other farming jobs. and God has a plan for everybody.heres why I say that...our Dad was introduced early in his teenage years to the Japanese culture even before he knew what Gods plans were for him. I now understand more of our legacy and Gods plan.do these things really happen by chance? I think not. Japanese Farmer: Did you know?.When our Dad was young he worked for a Japanese man who had a farm in Colorado, my Dad took that job with the Japanese farmer as Dad was influenced by his father James. Our Dads father, James, would help the Japanese-Americans in the internment camps when he could. My Dads father James did not believe the Japanese-Americans should have been put in camps.he would help the Japanese-Americans as much as he could even if it meant just passing a cigarette through the fence. Dads (Phillipes) early mission: Eventually it was time for our Dad to go off into the world to pursue his life (Gods plan) so he enlisted in the military. My Dad was influenced by his fathers goodness and when he was in the military did not hesitate to go to Japan when the opportunity came up From his experience working with the Japanese farmer and his fathers example helping the Japanese-Americans he decided to go to Japan where he eventually met and married our mother Kiyoko.Ill come back to this. As a young military man overseas, he would send a large part of his paycheck back to his family in Colorado to help with the farm. Our Dad was always generous and wise with what he earned and what he saved for his family. My dad was not selfish and he appreciated the small things in life. Simple things made him happy. He was most happy being with his wife, family, and grandkids, preparing and running in a race, having a good pair of running shoes, being with his friends or working on his land and watching the Dallas Cowboys play football on . Obituary: Maria Guadalupe Bueno, a resident of Houston, Texas, passed away at the age of 60 on , the first of two thousand sixteen at Houston Northwest Medical . She was born on May 3rd, 1956 in Mexico City to Jesus Garcia Orozco and Teresa Garcia Ortiz who have both preceded her in death. She moved to United States at the young age of 16 where she lived in Brownsville for a few years before setting roots in Houston, Texas. She succumbed to medical aliments including being diagnosed as legally blind due to diabetes and receiving dialysis treatment for 14 years as a result of kidney failure. Throughout this turmoil she kept her spirits high and found faith in God to help her overcome many obstacles in life. She is survived by her four sons eldest to youngest; Celestino Garcia, Abel Garcia, Victor Garcia, and Luis Garcia; her brothers and sisters eldest to youngest; Alberto Ortiz, Maria M. Rodriguez, Miguel Garcia, Alejandra Garcia, Mariela “Conchita” Garcia, Teresa Marquez, Eliza Garcia, and Jacqueline Navarro; seven grandchildren eldest to youngest; Alexis Garcia, Abigail Garcia, Brissa Garcia, Perla Garcia, Sierra Garcia, Natalie Garcia, and Jazlene Garcia and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She enjoyed dancing and singing while spending time with family and friends. Her proudest accomplishment was caring for and raising her four sons. She will be deeply missed by all and her warm thoughts will be cherished forever. Visitation will be held on , 6th 2016 from 5pm-9pm with a Prayer Service beginning at 7pm at Crespo located at 2516 Navigation Blvd. Houston, TX 77003. services will follow on , 7th at 10am at Crespo .
