Obituary: Budlong, Irene Harriet, 80 went to be with the Lord on , 8th after a long, courageous and well fought battle with Dementia. By her side were her children and friends. She was loved by many and will be missed greatly. Irene began her life journey on 20, 1933 in Oceanside, NY. Her childhood was filled with joy, music and education. She often talked about the family summer vacations in Vermont. She had many fond memories of that time having fun with her sisters (Betty and Barbara) and learning quite a bit about maple syrup. Her family often played Bridge, a game she continued to play throughout her life. She was first exposed to music by learning to play the piano. She continued enjoying music by playing the glockenspiel in her high school band. Her father (Clarence Genner) was a popular high school teacher. She eagerly followed in his footsteps learning as much as she could and becoming one of the better students in her class of 1951 at Freeport High School. Later in 1951, she took the courageous step of leaving her family and friends in Long Island, NY to accept an academic scholarship at Wittenberg University in Springfield, OH. She quickly made friends and excelled. She became a cheerleader and enjoyed social activities with her Gamma Phi Beta sisters. Early in her freshman year she caught the eye of the man who became the love of her life, Adrian E. Budlong, Jr. She graduated with honors in 1955 with a degree in education. On 3, 1955, Irene married Adrian E. Budlong, Jr. Their honeymoon was spent traveling across the country from Long Island, NY to San Diego, CA. Adrian had to catch a ride on a naval ship to continue serving with the Marine Corps in Korea. With her husband overseas, Irene went back to Long Island and taught school eagerly waiting for his return. When Adrian was honorably discharged in 1956, Irene began the largest and most fulfilling role of her life - loving wife and mother. Throughout the remainder of Adrians life, Irene was his biggest supporter and confidant. When Adrian returned home, they moved to Dayton, OH. She continued teaching to help support them while Adrian sold Kirby vacuum cleaners door to door. In 1957-58, Adrian became an Area Distributer and they moved to Springfield, OH. It was here that Irene had her first child and stopped being a teacher to become a full time mother. Adrians career continued progressing when he was promoted to Distributor in Toledo, OH 1958-67. In 1967, the family moved to Cleveland, OH when Adrian joined Kirbys factory staff as the National Sales Manager. He was promoted to Vice President of Sales and then to President of the Kirby , a position he held for eight years. In 1980, the family moved to San Antonio, TX, when he became a Vice President at Churchs Fried Chicken. In 1984 he rejoined Kirby as the Divisional Supervisor of the Southwest Division until his retirement in 1999. Adrian often stated that his success would not have been possible without Irenes love and support. Adrians career required him to travel often. Irene stayed home with the 5 children. She made sure everything at home went smoothly. She was the best mother anyone could hope for. Much of her time was spent ensuring her children had a great childhood and a loving home. She felt one of her biggest achievements was making sure each child had the love and care they needed to go on and have successful and fulfilling adult lives. Throughout the years, Irene continued to have fun and excitement. She and Adrian traveled the world on several trips they won and sponsored with Kirby. Her home is filled with treasured mementos from these excursions. The family also enjoyed several vacations traveling the country in the motor home and going to the farm in Tiverton, OH. In the 1960s, both Irene and Adrian got the flying bug. both got pilot licenses and flew as often as they could. When Adrian retired, they flew their plane to family events across the country and to their condo in Boca Raton, FL. When Adrians health declined, Irene took on the role of caregiver. She was by his side every step of the way through his journey with Alzheimers disease until his passing in 2005. Irene spent her remaining years enjoying retirement and attending family events. Irene will be joining her parents, Clarence and Harriet Genner, sister in-law Christine Ann McDonald, brother in-law Ken Forster, granddaughter Courtney Irene Harrison and daughter-in-law Dersho Clare Budlong in Heaven. She is survived by her children, grandchildren, sisters, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on , 13, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Porter Loring North. SERVICE

Obituary: David was born 22, 1960 in Baxter Springs, KS to Linda (Clanton) Budiselic and John Budiselic. He is preceded in death by his mother, Linda Budiselic, and his brother Terry Budiselic. David grew up in Baxter Springs, KS and spent a lot of his time in Picher, OK with his grandparents, Earl and Irene Clanton, who also preceded him in death. He spent many years as a mortgage banker and worked for several banks and mortgage companies and always excelled in his field.
