Obituary: BUCK, Roy FosterAge 95 of Nashville, TN, passed away 28, 2013. Roy grew up in East Nashville and was a Veteran of War World II, serving as a Bombardier in the Mighty Eighth Air Force. He flew in 35 missions before crashing on the final mission. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Metal with Clusters. He was a longtime member of Andrew Price Memorial United Methodist Church. He loved his grandchildren, gardening and fishing. His last 5 years of life were spent in Texas near his daughter. Preceded in death by his 1st wife of 29 years, Helen Castleman Buck; 2nd wife of 27 years, Evelyn Thomson Buck; parents, John A. and Charity Buck; 1 brother and 2 sisters, and step-grandson, Ben. Survived by his daughter, Diane Buck Castleman (Ron); grandson, Joe Castleman (Ege); granddaughters, Kristen Day (Aaron) and Sara Hjelm (Dan); 6 great-grandchildren; stepdaughters, Joyce McCutcheon (Larry), Gale Sheehan and Jean Smith; 6 step-grandchildren; 10 step great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews; 2 special friends, Colleen Atkinson and A.D. (Junior) Martin. A funeral service will be conducted 10 a.m. , 3, 2013 at the Hibbett & Hailey . Burial with Military Honors will follow in the Mount Olivet in Nashville, TN. Visitation with the family will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., and 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home. |

Obituary: Oscar Allen Buck, age 69, passed away on , 14, 2011, in San Antonio following a yearlong battle with cancer. He was born May 29, 1942, in Corpus Christi to Cleo Eugene Buck, Sr. and Lillian Buck. During Oscars 43 year career as a pharmacist, the family lived in San Antonio, Corpus Christi and Hawaii. One of his greatest joys was traveling. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Cleo Eugene Buck, Jr. and Thomas Buck. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Martha D. Buck and children, Jeffery Buck, James Buck and James Doose. A private service will be held for the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 8115 Datapoint Dr., San Antonio, TX 78229. |
