Obituary: FORT WORTH -- Martha Jean Lutz Braudaway, 80, beloved child of God, went home to be with the Lord on , Aug. 29, 2014, and, after enduring many struggles with her frail and failing body, is now more alive than she has ever been. Throughout her struggles, Jean demonstrated her strong faith in and commitment to the Lord and the power of prayer. She passed away at home surrounded by her loving family of whom she was most proud.

: 10 a.m. at Laurel Land Memorial Chapel with burial to follow in Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. at Laurel Land .

Jean was born in Fort Worth at her parents' home on Feb. 2, 1934, to E. Ormond Lutz and Arzena Belle Snowden. The same doctor later delivered each of Jean's five children. Jean had many dear friends at Worth Baptist Church where she was a longtime member and where she was honored as Mother of the Year in 2001, and at Hallmark Baptist Church where she was a charter member. Jean loved music, gardening, long rides in the countryside, homemade ice cream, visiting with friends and family, and her home filled with love and laughter and something good on the stove.

Jean was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She encouraged many souls and was loved by everyone whose life was blessed to have been touched by hers. She was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord. We look forward to his glorious return and the celebration of the Marriage Feast of the Lamb with her and all our friends, loved ones, and all who are called the Children of God.

The family would like to express sincerest thanks to our many dear friends and to Dr. Charles Carlton, mom's physician for 30 years, and the caring support from Covenant Hospice.

Monica Paez Bratz, 53, died peacefully at home, in the loving arms of her husband and sons, the morning of 7, 2017. Having lived her brief life fully, always surrounded by her adoring family and friends, she was our star. We revolved around her light, warmth and beauty. She claimed every holiday, birthday, special and not so special occasion, opening her home to each with great joy. Her happiness was intrinsic and easily spread to others. She was intelligent, able to see clearly what was important and her life reflected that beautifully. Her spirit never succumbed to the brain tumors that took her life, our gift from God. Her absence is nearly a mortal wound. She is survived by her husband Steven Bratz, sons Adam & Erik, parents Alma & Gilbert Paez, brothers Gary Paez (Becky) and Michael Paez (Branda), numerous nieces and nephews.
