Obituary: Irene A. Borrego, age 76, passed away on , 17, 2015 in Corpus Christi, Texas with family by her side. Irene was born on 9, 1938 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Irene enjoyed bowling, trips to casinos, playing bingo and Spurs basketball games. Most precious to her was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Irene is preceded in death by her parents, Joe Sr., and Amelia Arredondo. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Raul M. Borrego; children Sylvia B. Molina (Greg), Norma B. Puentes (Bobby), Raul Borrego, Jr., Paul Borrego (Margaret), Anna Marie Borrego; ten grandchildren, one great grandchild Raul IV; sister Bea Godoy; brother Joe Arredondo Jr. (Ruby); numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held , 19, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening at the Seaside Reid Chapel, 4357 Ocean Dr. A Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on , 20, 2015 at Christ the King Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park. Obituary: Donna Kay Books, age 59, of San Antonio, TX, died , 4, 2011. She was born in Lebanon, Pennsylvania to Donald ÂTony and Lois Jean Books. Donna attended Annville-Cleona High School where she participated in cheerleading and played the clarinet. She graduated in 1969 and after obtaining her training, she initially worked as a licensed vocational nurse in Hershey, Pennsylvania and later in Boston, Massachusetts. Donna attended Boston and graduated class of 1983, receiving a BSN. While students in Boston she and her future husband, Robert Borrego met and they were married in 1985. Soon after the birth of their daughter, they moved to Lebanon, Pennsylvania. the birth of their son they moved to San Antonio, Texas, her husbandÂs hometown. Here Donna retained devotion to raising her two children, being a loving wife and mother. Donna relished in motherhood, taking a great passion in making her family happy. She always assisted with childrenÂs activities, was very supportive, never missing events. She was an active member of University United Methodist Church, a member of Centennial School class and the Chancel Choir. Donna was also a member of the Bexar Medical Alliance. She also assisted as a Registered Nurse in her husbandÂs internal medicine practice, as an advocate of proper nutrition and assured other proper habits for their patients. Donna loved spending time with her family; reading, being outdoors, listening to music, singing, baking, supporting athletics and writing. She was a fan of the following teams: Boston , Penn State, Spurs, Eagles and Phillies. Donna remained strong in her faith despite any circumstances which occurred. She especially remained strong and optimistic throughout her cancer treatments and always thought about others. Donna will be remembered as a devoted, loving wife and mother whose main passion was her family. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald ÂTony Books. Donna is survived by her husband, Dr. Robert Borrego III; children, Adrienne Books-Borrego Horn and husband, Jeremy, Robert Anthony Borrego IV; mother, Lois Jean Books; brother, Barry Books and wife, Mary Jane and numerous other loving family members. The family will receive friends at Porter Loring, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. SERVICE FRIDAY FEBRUARY 11, 2011 10:30 A.M. UNIVERSITY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH 5084 DE ZAVALA RD. Obituary: Clara Louise P. Borrego, age 79, passed away on , 9, 2014. The daughter of Louis and Aurora Polanco, she was born and raised in San Antonio. Clara was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson H.S., Class of 52 and a member of the Lassos Drill Team. She celebrated her 60th wedding anniversary on 13, 2014 with her husband, Robert Borrego, Jr. and their family in their home. Clara, a devout Catholic, devoted her life and heart to her family. She was always supportive of her husbands family business, El Popo and Adelita Tortilla Factory (at 1130 Fresno Dr.) - A family tradition of 77 years. A special treasure and joy were her grandchildren. She traveled to many places in her life, especially loving the island of Kauai, Hawaii. Clara is preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Donna K.
