Obituary: Born Sarah Elizabeth Sally Towler, 1, 1933, in Dayton, Texas, to Susan Elizabeth McWhorter and David Duval Towler, she was the ninth of eleven children. She died peacefully at her home in Bastrop, Texas, surrounded by family, 24, 2017. She was baptized as a teen, along with her sister, Bonnie, at the Baptist Church in Crosby, Texas. Football Queen and twirler in high school, she graduated from Crosby High School in 1952. Sally was working as a switchboard operator when she met Daniel Richard Dan Boone Jr. married shortly thereafter on 10, 1952. lived in Killeen, Beaumont, Dayton, Richmond, Pearsall, and Victoria before settling permanently in Bastrop. Sally read the Bible every day. With lots of prayer and the help of God, Sally and Dan raised four strong boys. The boys are now fine men who have raised their own children to love the Lord. Her boys surrounded her in her final days with a peaceful confidence in her eternal destination. Sally welcomed and cherished each addition to her family, from her first daughter-in-law to her eleventh great-grandchild, as her own. On 5, 1977, the first two of her eight grandchildren were born. From that day on, Sally was known as Granny. The most precious gift Sally passed to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren was the example she set. She was kind, sweet, loving, beautiful, but most of all, forgiving. She got her greatest joy in giving to her grandchildren some of the things she did not have as a child. Sally was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, David Duval D. D. Towler; three sisters, Verda James, Dorothy Patterson, Jewel Poe; and one great-granddaughter, Atlee Grace Boone. She is survived by her husband, and four sons: Daniel Richard Rusty Boone III and wife, Renea, of Spring; Edward Allen Buzzy Boone and wife, Lucia, of Amarillo; Randall Lee Randy Boone and wife, Beth, of Asherton; Joel Roger Boone and wife, Liza, of San Marcos. Sally is also survived by eight grandchildren: Daniel Richard Boone IV and wife, Shelley, of Canyon Lake; Joe Nathan Boone and wife, Lauren, of Spring Branch; Jake Allen Boone and wife, Angie, of Phoenix, AZ; Diane Nicole Lewis and husband, Jonathan, of Clovis, NM; Melanie Renae Boone of Washington, DC; Lance Roger Boone of San Marcos; Colin Joel Boone of San Marcos; and Jamie Danielle Boone of Belton. She is survived by ten great-grandchildren: Olivia Brooke Boone, McKenna Nicole Boone, Gabriel Allen Boone, Braden Daniel Boone, Clara Grace Boone, Ryland Joe Boone, Asher Daniel Boone, Kynlee Faith Boone, Juliette Elaine Boone, and Raeleigh Lacey Boone. Sally is survived by four sisters and two brothers: Hazel Morris, Virginia Waldrop, Margie Smith, and Bonnie Morris, Howard Towler, and Marvin Ray Towler. Obituary: Robert Daniel Boone, 60, passed away on 6, 2015, in Carrollton, TX, after a brief battle with leukemia. He was born on 11, 1955, in Bowling Green, Kentucky, where he spent his youth with parents Lawrence Herbert Boone and Geneva Katherine Smith, and his eight brothers and sisters. He married Mabel Lois Romans on 14, 1975, in the Washington, D.C. Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and they went on to have three sons together. Danny and Mabel celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on 14, 2015, by attending the wedding of their son George and his wife, Hallie. Danny attended Western Kentucky University and later graduated from Bowling Green Vocational School. He worked at Holley Carbuetor as a tool and die maker, and later worked as a supervisor at Carnation Can, in Maysville, KY, where he raised his children, from 1979 until 1992, before moving his family to The Colony, TX., where they have lived for 23 years. He became a senior production engineer for BWAY, and was loved and respected by his colleagues there. He traveled to several countries to purchase can line equipment. Danny loved his three grandchildren and delighted in playing in the pool with them, taking them on trips to Depot and spoiling them with candy, even if he had to pass it to them behind their parents' backs. also loved playing with cars, tools, and especially electric trains. He enjoyed woodworking, a skill he learned in high school, and he recently made a treasure chest for his wife and a new walnut mantle for the fireplace in their home. He also treasured his Harley Davidson motorcycle, relishing the freedom he felt riding out in nature, on the open road. He was a life-long, devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving as a branch president in Maysville, KY, for a time, and he most recently served, along with his wife, as a missionary in the Frisco, Texas, Young Single Adult branch of the Church. both consider their mission as one of the highlights of their lives. He and his wife also loved to travel to visit various LDS Church historical sites, in the northeast. Danny is survived by his wife; sons Robert Joseph Boone, of McKinney, TX; Michael Timothy and Chelsea Boone, of McKinney, TX; George Lawrence and Hallie Boone of Austin, TX; siblings Lola Joiner of Bowling Green, KY; Lewis and Claudia Boone of Sandy, UT; Linda and Rob Oar of Draper, UT; Lana Harris of Cody, WY; Larry and Melinda Boone, of Bowling Green, KY; David and Julie Boone of Chesapeake, VA; Timmy and Nancy Boone of Aurora, CO; Lori and Frank Cardwell of Knoxville, TN.; and grandchildren Maci, Beckham and Bauer Boone. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Leta Kay Boone. He loved all of his nieces and nephews and extended family members, and he took great delight in teasing and having fun with them.
