Obituary: On , 10, 2014, Marjorie Malinda Rosenbaum Bogusch made a graceful and quiet exit from this earthly world.

Marge was born on 11, 1926, in the small community of Salem TX to Charles W. Rosenbaum, Sr. and Pearlie Remmert Rosenbaum. She grew up on a farm and fondly told stories over the years of farming, picking cotton, and riding to the schoolhouse with her sister and brother all straddled on their horse. She was always quick to add that, She brought up the rear on their horse.

When she was 20, in nearby Brenham TX, she fell in love with William Colbert Bogusch, Sr., and they were married on May 11, 1946, in Salem Lutheran Church. soon moved to Austin, TX when Bill was offered a job with the Internal Revenue Service. made their home in Austin, joining Westminster Presbyterian Church, and started their family, raising four children. Marge was the consummate homemaker, and after Bill died in 1986, she rose to the occasion as a single woman and became quite independent, managing and maintaining the home she and Bill bought for 63 years. Marge saw the beauty in all living things, whether it was a pet or her flower garden. She loved tending to her yard and flowers, and she knew the scientific name for every living plant and whatever she planted thrived for years. While the spectacular color that exploded each spring in her back yard always left everyone in awe, she constantly amazed everyone by the color she could induce in the dead of winter.

Marge was one of those people who touched the lives of all who came to know her. Her family was privileged to have her in their lives for almost 88 years and will continue to carry with them all that she taught, all that she shared, and most important, all that she loved. The years spent with Marge afforded her family and friends the opportunity to experience her grace, love, and kindness first-hand. She provided encouragement and support no matter the situation or circumstance and was always there for her children, guiding them down the many paths that life took them. She gave freely of herself, saying Love doesn cost a thing. Her eyes were always filled with a spark, always filled with joy and love, always filled with compassion. She was witty and you could often hear her laughter resonating through the house.

Mom, Marge, Granny, Great Granny Marge, you showered the family and world with your smile, your laughter, and your remarkable zest for life. Everyone benefited from your presence and will continue to carry with them all that you gave through generations to come.

Marge was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She leaves behind her children: Linda Camp, Bill (Linda) Bogusch, Jr., Charles (Annette) Bogusch, and Paul (Angie) Bogusch. She also leaves behind her loving grandchildren: Taylor (Bonnie) Camp, Erin Harp, Melissa (Steve) Miller, Nicole Bogusch, Jacob Bogusch, Alyssa (Roy) Walters, and Ruby Kinard, and great grandchildren: Andrew Harp, Alexandra Harp, RJ Walters, Aubree Walters, Addyson Walters, and Ashlynn Walters. Marge is also survived by her brother, Charles Rosenbaum, Jr. and sister, Evelyn Thielemann, and many nieces and nephews and their families.

Serving as pallbearers are Taylor Camp, Andrew Harp, Steve Miller, Jacob Bogusch, Roy Walters, and Bruce Thompson.

Marges family extends its heartfelt gratitude to her friend, Bruce, who helped care for her as her physical well-being began to fail, and to the caring staff at Emeritus at Spicewood Springs Assisted Living where she spent the last 2 years of her life.

In lieu of flowers, contributions are welcome in Marjorie Boguschs name to one of the charities she supported -- the Macula Vision Research Foundation or the American Heart Association -- or to your own favorite charity.
