Obituary: Ethelyne Ef Bernay Reese Bizilo, formerly of Midland, Texas, died morning, 21, at the home of her nephew David Bullion in Austin, after a lengthy illness. She was 87.

She was born May 25, 1924, in Brownwood, Texas to Louis Quilla Bud and Tennie P. Cash Reese. She spent part of her childhood in the Indian Creek community outside Brownwood, where her mother taught school, and the remainder of her childhood and early adult life in Brownwood, Texas. She attended Howard Payne University there, a family tradition.

She met her husband John Bizilo in 1945 when he was an Army platoon sergeant stationed at Camp Bowie in Brownwood and she was a United Service Organization (USO) volunteer. were married on 15, 1946 at St. Marys Catholic Church in Brownwood and lived there until 1949, when they moved to Midland where John began teaching. While in Midland, Ethelyne was employed as a draftswoman for Texaco. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Midland.

Among her many hobbies were bird watching, fishing, stained glass works artistry, and traveling. Ethelyne and John enjoyed traveling throughout America and Mexico, and had sighted and logged more than 500 species of birds in their bird watching ventures. purchased a recreational vehicle for such ventures, and it was Ethelynes job to plan, prepare, and drive during their outings. The couple spent many vacations at Rockport on the Texas coast with her mother and sister as guests. Ethelyne enjoyed visiting Ruidoso and Hobbs, New Mexico, as she enjoyed gambling and collected Indian jewelry of turquoise and coral.

She was an accomplished stained glass artist, creating many beautiful glass hangings which she gave as gifts. She also took classes in cake decorating and jewelry crafting. An avid collector, Ethelyne had coin, doll, and Hummel figurine collections; with her sister Alta, she collected over 300 beanie babies in the 1990s when they were extremely popular.

Survivors include her nephew David Bullion and wife Susie of Austin; nieces Linda Smith and husband Rick of Austin and Liz Holmsley and husband Steve of San Antonio; nine great nieces and nephews, and six great-great nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Dr. Gregory Bartha of Midland for his many years of care and support, and the team from Hospice Austin for their compassion and excellent care during Ethylenes last few weeks. Special thanks to her home health caregivers Sharene Swindall in Midland and Nikki Hervey and Susie Victor in Austin. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Hospice Austin or Hospice Midland.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., , 25, 2012 at the Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks in Austin, Texas.

services will be at 10:00 a.m. , 26, 2012 in the Chapel of Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks with the Rev. Don Long officiating. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Greenleaf in Brownwood, Texas.

Honoring Ethelyne as pallbearers are her nephews David Bullion, Steve Holmsley, and Rick Smith, and great-nephews Ben Holmsley, David Smith, Brett Bullion, Chris Bullion, and Shane Bullion.

Obituary: Carl David Biziak, Sr., 91, of Houston, made his final trip into the Light on morning 18, in Pearland, Tx. from complications of pneumonia, sepsis and cancer. Carl was born on 30, 1919 in Byesville, OH to Anton and Susanna Biziak, immigrants from Austri-Hungary. He grew up on a farm, the youngest of 5 brothers and 2 sisters, had to walk a mile to school and caddied at a nearby golf course while growing up. On the eve of WW II, Carl enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1941 and served in the Pacific with the 119th Ord. Co. on New Guinea and the Phillipines. He earned medals for American Defense Service, American Theater, Asiatic Pacific Theater w/ 2 Bronze Stars and Phillipine Liberation Ribbon w/ 1 Bronze Star. He was discharged in 1945 as a TSgt and came to Houston to work in the steel industry where he went to work for Austin Brothers Steel Co. Carl met and married Marjorie (Weaver) Bissonnet in 1946. He became a shop foreman for Austin Brothers in the 1950s and later went to work for Pyramid Derrick Mfg building oil rigs and derricks for the oil industry. Carl traveled around the world and helped start Pyramids rig building business in Singapore in the early 1970s. He later retired from Pyramid, but continued to work as a steel inspector until 2000 at the age of 80. His weekly retired schedule up until now consisted of breakfasts, lunches and dinners out with friends and family. He was active with VFW Post 581, American Legion Post 586 and dancing on s. Carl is predeceased by his parents and wife Marjorie, 4 brothers and 1 sister. He is survived by son, David and wife Linda of Granite Shoals, step-daughter Velma of Magnolia, sister Julia Kaiser of Martins Ferry, OH, nephew Charles Bailey of Lexington, KY, niece Jeanette Pittman of Salem, OH and special friend Marguerite Smith of Houston. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at Windsong Skilled in Pearland and Heart-to-Heart Hospice for the wonderful care Carl received his short time there. Visitation will be from 5-8pm, , 21st at Brookside . Services will be held , 22nd at 10am in Brookside Chapel. Interment will follow in Brookside Memorial Park.

Obituary: William Lee Bixler, was born in Pasadena, Texas, on 16, 1952, to Max and Melba Bixler. Bill passed away on 14, 2010 in Dallas. He is preceded in death by his father Max. Bill is survived by his mother Melba, brother Bob, daughter Amberlee, son Benjamin, wife Mary, stepdaughters Shelley and Marisa, and extended family and friends. Bill served in the United States Marine Corp from 1970 to 1974, serving on the Forestal in the Mediterranean. He called it his Med Cruise. Bill then worked in electronics. He eventually went to work for the Post Office, where he was currently employed at the facility in Coppell as an Electronic Technician. Bill had so many interests from scuba diving (member of the Scubadillos) to bowling (member of the Humpers - for Hump Day - at the Plano Super Bowl). He always had a science fiction book with him to read in his downtime and chocolate to share. Bill had a young and energetic spirit and a sometimes quirky sense of humor. He loved playing jokes and teasing, liked a variety of music, was an avid STARS fan. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle - not a thrill Mary shared with him. Bill really enjoyed good food and loved to cook for family and friends, providing many unique and often spicy dishes. He loved his peppers! He also enjoyed sharing a good bottle of wine and had an affinity for picking out a wine worthy of any connoisseur, but usually at a bargain price. He was very generous and got pleasure in sharing with his family and friends. Bill adored Mary, and they have shared wonderful times over the past fifteen years travelling to Grand Cayman and Cozumel for scuba diving, to the Pacific Northwest to visit friends and sight-see, and small trips in and around Texas. He had a talent for taking beautiful pictures of their travels and many of the photos are displayed in their home. Bill was a very special person who will be missed. Obituary: Marilyn Hilda Cardillo Bixler was born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio. She was the child of Anthony Louis Cardillo and Hilda Josefina Johnson Cardillo, and had an older brother James who passed away as an infant. Marilyn was very close to her Mother, who she lost when she was only 16 years old. She was a great influence on her life. Marilyn had a beautiful singing voice and met her husband Chuck through her voice teacher. She attended Westminster in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania studying music, and she and Chuck married a few years after college. were blessed with five children, Marcia, Kirk, Cheryl, Scott and Clint.

Marilyn was a stay-at-home mom for 17 years. She went back to work after attending Executive Secretarial School. She eventually passed the securities exam and became an Investment Officer at Bank of America. She was one of 3 women on a 22 person trading floor and said that was the "thrill of her career".

She and Chuck lived in many different states during their 62 year marriage, but Marilyn ultimately moved back to her adopted home of Texas after Chuck's passing. Over the years, she enjoyed serving as Chairman of Christian Women's Club, being a Stephen Minister, a Welcome Ambassador at Parkview in Frisco, reading, playing bridge and doting on her dogs Cody and Carly. She loved her nine grandchildren, Shellye, Ashley, Matt, Trace, Landon, Preston, Lauren, Zoe and Erin. She was blessed by her Son-in-law Ed Sigler, Son-in-Law Joe Pangburn and Daughter-in-law Kelli Bixler and her four Great grand-children Maisye, Blayne, Vincent and Henry. Her infectious smile and zest for life will be missed by us all.

Lorain was born on 2, 1930 in Waynoka, Oklahoma to Bert and Margaret Gadberry. Lorain graduated from Waynoka High School. She married Kenneth Bixler on 16, 1949. moved to Amarillo in 1971. She was a loving wife, mom, and grandmother. Family was her priority; she had a servants heart, and was Supermom.

She was a member of the Eastern Star for more than 65 years, and a member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha participating in fund raisers for St. Jude.



She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth, a sister Mary Ellen and her parents.



Survivors include her sons Stacey and wife Holly of Hereford, Pat and wife Paige of Lubbock, Danny and wife Kristie of Canyon, and Tim and wife Becky of Slaton; a sister Karen Porter of Dallas; ten grandchildren, Stephanie Hansen, Michelle Bixler, Meghan Grimm, Pace Bixler, Taylor Bixler, Grey Bixler, Brian Lutrick, Danny Lutrick, Brad Bixler, and Alli Bixler; eight great-grandchildren, Peyton Grimm, Jayce Lutrick, Caden Hansen, Bailian Bixler, Houston Grimm, Brooklyn Hansen, Kenneth Bixler, and Hazel Bixler.



Family will receive visitors from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., , 5, at the funeral home.
