Obituary: Stanley Robert Bob Biedrzycki II passed away 15, 2015, due to an automobile accident. He was 63 years old. Bob was born in San Antonio Texas on 19, 1952. He was the only child of Stanley and Katilu Biedrzycki who preceded him in death. Bob was a graduate of Highlands High School and Southwest Texas University. Bob is a veteran of the San Antonio Police Department rising to the rank of Captain prior to his retirement in 2009. He loved his First Baptist Church family and served as an active deacon. Bob was a devoted father and husband. He was happiest when he was outdoors with his friends and family. Dorothy retired in 1955 to marry Matthew Biedryck and selflessly raise her family of 3 children. She returned to nursing for another 15 years and specialized in occupational health, working as a nurse for a local department store and various automotive plants in Dayton, Ohio. retirement, she and her husband relocated to Las Vegas, NV where the lights and excitement provided much fulfillment. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Sell and Theresa Carson Sell, and her sister, Arline Sell Tynan. Obituary: LAWRENCE JOSEPH (LARRY) BIEDIGER, SR., age 89, a Houston resident for the last 62 years, went to be with the Lord on , 1, 2011 at 3:00 pm, and to be reunited with his parents, Alfred Oscar Biediger, Sr. and Agnes Mary Mangold Biediger, and siblings, Clementina Hansen, Alvira Bendele, Matilda Bendele, Gertrude Hartung, Walter Wilfred Biediger, Alfred Oscar Biediger, Jr., and Claude William Biediger. Born in LaCoste, Medina , Texas, on 17, 1921, he was a 1939 graduate (Salutatorian) of Mathis High School, Mathis, Texas. An Army Air Corps staff sergeant during World War II, he served in Del Rio, Texas and Sacramento, California, before returning to his native Texas upon completion of his tour of duty to attend the University of Texas at Austin, where he received his B.B.A. in Accounting with Honors in 1949. Larry was also a member of Beta Alpha Psi and Beta Gamma Sigma fraternities. Upon graduation, he and Alma moved to Houston where he joined the accounting firm of Ernst & Ernst. In 1952, he joined Daniel Radiator Manufacturing as office manager, ultimately retiring from Daniel in 1986 as president. He was acting director of IRSCO from 1986 until 2003. In 2003, the Texas Society of CPAs honored him for his 50 years of service as a Texas Certified Public Accountant. He is survived by his wife, Alma Iona Moore Biediger, formerly of Luling, Texas, whom he met on a double date (she wasn his date!) and later married on Flag Day, 14, 1943 in Austin, Texas. Their marriage of 68 years was blessed with 5 children, 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren: daughter, Kathryn Elizabeth Biediger of Missoula, Montana; son, Deacon Lawrence Joseph Biediger, Jr. and wife, Cathy, of Houston, and their children, Lawrence Joseph III (Trey), and wife, Allison, and daughter, Briley Anne, Frank Joseph and wife, Jessica, and sons, Cash Joseph and Slaide James, Mary Rachel Harrison and husband, Heath, and daughter, Leslie Catherine (Cate), and Mary Lauren; daughter, Mary Annette Biediger Novak and husband, Myron, of Fort Worth, Texas, and children, Sarah Loleet Garner Noonan and husband, Brendan, and son, James Timothy, and Jacob Paul Garner; son, Timothy Gerard Biediger and wife, Michelle, of Coeur dAlene, Idaho, and children, Jeremy Lawrence Biediger, Tyler Mueller, Chance Mueller, and Chloe Miller; and daughter, Therese Anne Biediger Frizzell and husband, Kevin, of Nacogdoches, Texas and their children, Hannah Elise, Emily Kathryn, and Colin Brantley. Larry is also survived by a sister, Mary Ann Feuge, and brother-in-law, Joe, of Spring Branch, Texas; sister-in-law, Dorothy Biediger, of Garden Ridge, Texas, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Larry was a founding parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Houston, where he and his family worshiped for over 30 years. For the past 29 years, he had been a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Houston, where he volunteered with the credit union and the food pantry. He was also a Third Order Carmelite member, and a former member of the Order of Alhambra. Visitation will be , 4, 2011, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at Memorial Oaks , Eldridge and the Katy Freeway, with Vigil Service at 7:00 pm. Obituary: Bruce Thomas Biediger, Sr. Bruce Thomas Biediger, Sr. went to be with the Lord on 11, 2017, at the age of 80. Bruce was born and raised in San Antonio and married the love of his life, Iris, in 1957. He served in the U.S. Army from 1959-1961, was a member of Sheet Metal Workers Local Union #67 and retired from J.M. Boyer in 1999. He enjoyed much of his retirement in Kingsland, Texas. Bruce was a very hardworking person, at work and at home. In his sheet metal work, he supervised many large commercial heating and air-conditioning projects in San Antonio and Austin. At home, he was a master at building and fixing things. From building a house and dock at Lake LBJ to working on cars, he could do it all and he shared his skills with family and friends. Over the years, he enjoyed bowling, golfing, fishing and water skiing. But, he loved auto racing. He frequented Pan American Speedway as a member of various pit crews and even tried driving for a season! He later returned to the pits to keep his son on the track at San Antonio Speedway. Above all else, Bruce was a family man. He was a devoted husband to his Bug and deeply loved and cared for his children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter. He did not preach or lecture, but instead taught them by example. His smiling face and reassuring hugs will be remembered forever. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Irma (Mangold) Biediger; brother Joseph Biediger, Jr.; sister Katherine Beaman; and brother-in-law Norwin Schimcek. Bruce is survived by his wife, Iris; daughter Lynette Birdwell (Bill); son Bruce Tommy Biediger, Jr.; grandchildren, Jason Birdwell and Amy May (Kirk); great-granddaughter Brooke May; brother Robert Biediger (Terrie); sister Marilyn Gruhn (Dave); sister-in-law Kathy Schimcek; brother-in-law Gerald Schimcek (Cathy); and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend special thanks to VITAS Hospice for the care and compassion given to Bruce over the last several months. service: , 18th, 11:00 a.m., Zion Lutheran Church, 9944 Leslie Road, San Antonio, followed by interment at Zion Lutheran .
