Betty was a longtime resident of San Antonio. She was active in the Methodist Womens Group and had a long career with Exxon Oil. Betty was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Obituary: Mass of Christian Burial for Robert Biedermann, 78, of San Angelo, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., , 19, 2015 in the St. Ambrose Catholic Church. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 P.M. in the St. Joseph in Rowena. Pallbearers are Joseph Biedermann, Peyton Brown, Will Brown, Cade Vinson, Hoby Biedermann and Craig Biedermann. Honorary Pallbearers are Benjamin Perez, the Mereta Co-Op Gin and UAP Coffee Club. A rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. at the church on . Mr. Biedermann passed away , 16, 2015 in San Angelo. He was born to Herbert Arthur and Olivia Feist Biedermann on 4, 1936 in Rowena. Robert graduated from Central High School in 1954. Then he went on to Sul Ross and played baseball where they went on to win the national championship. He went on to have a short career with the Milwaukee Braves before being drafted into the United States Army Reserves. Robert was a cotton farmer and member of St. Ambrose Holy Family. He married Randy Hurst in San Angelo on 5, 1961. He served on the board for the following organizations; St. Margaret Parish Council, Veribest Water Board, Mereta Co-Op Gin, and the Federal Land Bank. He will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; son, Anthony Biedermann and brother, Dennis Biedermann. Survivors include his wife, Randy Hurst Biedermann; son, Monte Biedermann and wife, Angela; daughters, Terri Vinson and husband, David, and Marla Brown and husband, Rowdy; grandchildren, Joseph Biedermann, Elizabeth Biedermann, and Abby Halfmann and husband, Bryan, Cade Vinson, Cash Vinson, Jessica Brown, Peyton Brown, and Will Brown; great grandchild, Bowen Halfmann; siblings, Herbert Biedermann, Jr., Marie and George Martin, Diana and Jim Guszak, Maurine and Jack Shewmake, and Marilyn and y Page; brother in law, Danny Hurst; sister in law, Marcia Hurst; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Obituary: Robert Russell (Bob) Biechlin passed away , May 27th at his home at Colonial Gardens. Bob was born in Akron, Ohio on 1, 1928 to Russell and Clara Biechlin. His family moved to San Antonio in 1937 and bought a home in the relatively new Alamo Heights neighborhood, which is where Bob spent the rest of his life. Bob attended Alamo Heights High School, then the University of Texas at Austin. He joined the U.S. Navy and was stationed on Guam. Upon his return to San Antonio, he finished his education at St Marys University where he received his BBA degree. While at St Marys, Bob married Betty Ann Whitehead, with whom he shared his life until her death in 2006. Betty and Bob raised three sons; Robert (Rusty), Michael, and Brink. The boys grew up in a wonderful rambling old house behind Alamo Heights High School, and were very fortunate to be raised by upright, supportive, and loving parents. Bobs entire professional career was spent in the insurance business. He was a partner with his lifelong friend Fred Knight in the Biechlin Knight & Associates insurance agency until his retirement in 2008. Bob was loving and steadfast in relationships, intelligent, upright and honest in business, and deeply but quietly faithful. In return, he was blessed with a loving and beautiful wife, good sons, wonderful grandchildren, a delightful great granddaughter, lifelong friendships, success in business, and a long, fulfilled life. Betty and Bob were founding members of St Davids Episcopal Church where Bob was extremely active his entire life. He served on the Alamo Heights City Council for twenty seven years, including eight years as mayor. Bob enjoyed significant success in his professional life, and received numerous awards and accolades. He was a member of the San Antonio Country Club, the Alamo Kiwanis Club, the Quarterback Club, the Million Dollar Roundtable, and several other professional and service organizations. The last few years of his life, Bob lived with Alzheimers disease, and he was blessed to receive exceptional, compassionate care from many people. The family is deeply grateful to all those who gave so much of themselves to not only care for Bob, but to embrace and support him. Even as the disease consumed him, his dignity and gentle nature shone through, and those who were with him respected those qualities. Bob was predeceased by his wife Betty, and his youngest son, Brink, and his granddaughter Ashley. He is survived by his sons, Rusty and Michael, daughters in law Janet, Cary, and Julie, grandchildren Amy, Adam, Miles, Emilie, and Hunter, and great granddaughter Eleanor. Betty Biechlin passed away on , 28, 2006, just days after her 78th birthday and a very special Christmas, when her entire family was gathered for celebration and a feast she had lovingly prepared. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, an artist and poet, an astute businesswoman, and a loyal companion to countless friends. Born Betty Ann Whitehead on 23, 1928 in El Paso, Texas, to Otis and Lana Whitehead, Betty attended Jefferson High School then SMU before marrying her husband of 58 years, Robert R. ÂBob Biechlin, after meeting him on a blind date when he was home on leave from the Navy. She was preceded in death by her parents and her granddaughter, Ashley Biechlin. Survivors include her husband, Bob; three sons, Robert R. Biechlin, Jr. and wife, Janet; Michael D. Biechlin and wife, Cary; Paul Brink Biechlin and wife, Julie; and five grandchildren: Amy, Adam, Miles, Emilie and Hunter. contenting herself as a homemaker while raising her sons, Betty ventured into the world of business as a real estate salesperson, attaining the distinction of the number one residential salesperson in San Antonio on several occasions while with the Guy Chipman Co. She later joined Kuper SothebyÂs International Realtors. She will be sorely missed by her friends and colleagues there. Further demonstrating her zest for life, Betty took up tennis with a passion and continued to play into her 70Âs. She was a unique individual, and she left her mark on everything she did and everyone she met. Her whimsical poetry, penned for virtually any occasion, and the Christmas treasure hunts she masterminded, never ceased to delight. Her vibrant sense of humor and concern for the happiness and welfare of others won her many friends. Betty was a member of the Assistance League of S.A., San Antonio Board of Realtors, and the San Antonio Country Club. She was a founding member of St. DavidÂs Episcopal Church, where she served as president of the Diocesan Women of the Church. Honorary Pallbearers: A.E.
