Obituary: Patsy Ruth Bible, 76, passed away at the home of her son in Katy, Texas after a long illness on 15th, 2015. She spent her early life in Santa Anna, Texas, then after marriage spent time in England with her husband and son, and then to Houston where she was a loving mother to her sons, Monty and Bruce. Patsy retired from Texas Commerce Bank in Houston after a long and successful career. She then continued employment at a Houston area law firm for several more years. She was preceded in death by her brother, Bill Parish, her sister Bobbie Howard, and her son Monty. She is survived by her son, Bruce Bible, daughter in law, Annette Bible, grandchildren, Kelly Munsell, Jenna Bible and Nash Bible all of the Katy/Houston area. Obituary: Nancy Jane (Eppolito) Bible, age 96, of Houston, Texas, passed away on 8, 2015. Born 18, 1918 in Navasota, Texas, Nancy was the daughter of Sam and Lucy (DeForke) Eppolito. She lived in Houston most of her life until she moved to Woodville, TX in 2003. Nancy was the oldest of five children, who grew up in a large, loving, bigger-than-life Italian family. She loved to cook and have family over for dinner. Nancy enjoyed dancing. She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church. Nancy worked for Geo Space Electronics for 30 years. She was also a volunteer worker for Early Voting. Nancy is survived by her two sons; Ken Bible and his wife, Peggy of Houston, TX and Sam Bible and his wife Terri of Woodville, TX. She was the grandmother of Christopher, Samantha, and Shawn and his wife Therese. Nancy was the sister of Mary Eppolito Black, Bennie Eppolito Church and her husband Tony Church, Rosie Eppolito Sirvello and her husband Tony Sirvello, and Vince Eppolito. She was the aunt of four nieces and three nephews; Theresa Church Messina and her husband Sam Messina, Joseph Church and his wife Barbara Church, Patricia Younger Sirvello and her husband, Tony Sirvello, Robert Sirvello and his wife, Lucille DeFatta and her husband Joe DeFatta, and Cindy Eppolito. Nancy is also survived by a brother-in-law Robert Black and his wife Jean. The family would like to thank mom's caring and loving nurse and friend for the last 13 years Glenda Robinson. . Obituary: Melvina Ruth Bible (Foster) was born to William Claude and Lois Alice (Chick) Foster on 16, 1940, in Alva Oklahoma. Melvina was born in the St. Nicolas Hotel that was owned and operated by the Chick family since 1907. Melvina passed away on 04, 2014 in San Antonio Texas, at the age of 74 years old. Melvina spent her childhood living in Emporia Kansas. She was proud of her Cherokee family heritage. As a young child, she would travel by train to Indian reservations with her father William Claude Foster, who sat on the Cherokee Indian Tribe Council. She attended Roosevelt High School. She excelled academically, and loved the dance classes, Latin and Spanish classes. Melvina caught the eye of Glenn Bible Jr. while at Roosevelt High School. Years later, while Melvina was visiting her sister Lois Smith in Abilene Texas, she had heard that Glenn was stationed at Dyess Air Force Base in Abilene. She called Glenn, and they began dating and their love story continued for 55 years. Melvina Foster married Glenn A. Bible Jr. in the First Christian Church, 2, 1958 in Emporia Kansas. Glenn being in the United States Air Force, moved his family several times throughout their 55 years of marriage. Melvina kept busy raising five active children, two sons and three daughters. Melvina was always volunteering her time with the childrens activities; baseball, softball, Cub Scouts, Brownies, and many more. She was an amazing cook, and spent many hours in the kitchen preparing meals that the family would enjoy. Christmas was her favorite holiday. She would spend days preparing for Christmas by making homemade chocolate fudge and divinity and lots of beautiful cookies and candies. She loved animals, especially her beloved Chihuahuas, Poncho, Tootsie, Bandit, Duchess and Fawn. She loved her San Antonio Spurs and especially Manu Ginobili, who she cheered for while wearing his T-shirts. She loved to dance and in High School was asked to dance with Modern Dance class at the University near her high school campus. She loved languages, and spoke Latin and Spanish. Spanish was the language she could speak fluently, so when the family moved to Puerto Rico, she could understand and speak to the locals while shopping and living in Isabela. Melvina loved fishing and camping. She loved spending hours on the water and had swimming pools put in her backyard so she could relax and enjoy the beautiful south Texas weather. She enjoyed gardening and growing outdoor plants. She was hard to beat in the game of cards, especially Canasta. She would join Bowling Leagues at each Air Force base with her husband Glenn and together, they won many bowling tournaments. She would spend hours shopping and end her day at Chilis Restaurant for her favorite dish of ribs. As her health declined, Melvina, spent time watching, Gunsmoke, and Bonanza, Little House on the Prairie and Ellens D. talk show and spent time with grandchildren and great grandchildren, who she loved dearly and was very proud of their accomplishments. Melvina Bible is survived by her husband, Glenn A. Bible Jr. Her son, Craig A. Bible,(San Antonio Tx) Her daughter, Christine (Sissy) Bible-Council, and husband Jay, Council (McQueeney Tx). Her daughter, Cynthia (Cindy) Bible-Kresta and husband,Ronnie Kresta (Shiner Tx). Melvinas only surviving sibling and brother, William Lynn Foster and wife, Linda Foster (Hartford Kansas) Carmen (Bible) Alloway and husband Raymond (Schertz/Cibolo Tx ) Melvinas deceased children, Cary James Bible, and Cheryl Lynn Bible who were waiting with open arms in heaven for our mother. Melvinas grandchildren: James Kresta and his wife Laura Kresta (Kansas City,Missouri) Shelly and Sean Kresta (Shiner Tx). Desirae Council and her fiancé Shane Schamaun (Schertz, Tx) Ches and Cody Council (McQueeney Tx) Clarisse (Bible) Grages and husband Andrew (Colorado Springs, Colorado) Craig Allen Bible Jr. (San Antonio Tx) ,Melvinas great grandchildren: Shane Michael Council, son of Ches Council, Emma James Kresta, daughter of James and Laura Kresta, Abram Grages, son of Clarisse and Andrew Grages.Also numerous nephews and nieces throughout Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, California. |
